AL Central Watch

Of course Youk homers to put the Sox on top. ****ers. When are they going to start losing?

(Wonder how many Sox fans thought that about the Tigers last year. It never happened.)

2012 Tigers-White Sox Stretch Run Spreadsheet.
from WalkoffWoodwardTigersblog

the White Sox face Matt Moore, Jeremy Hellickson, David Price, and James Shields in the last week of the regular season.

I was wondering who they would face there. Sooooooooo happy they face the Rays late in the season. And about freaking time the twatsox lost. I swear all they do is hit homeruns. It just makes me more and more angry.

Nice showing by the AL Central last night

Every team lost except the Tigers, who of course didn't play.

The Indians are 11-32 since the ASB, including 5-20 this month.

pitching matchups for the Tigers- 'twatsox' series: thankyou jmakula87

Friday: Doug Fister vs. Jake Peavy
Saturday: Max Scherzer vs. Francisco Liriano
Sunday: Justin Verlander vs. Chris Sale

With those matchups there's no reason to not take at least 2 of 3...sweep is not unheard of. Just need to not beat themselves...

Gavin Floyd was placed on the 15-day DL, retroactive to August 27, with a strained right elbow. The MRI ruled out any major structural damage but did reveal a strain to the flexor mass of the elbow, the same structure that was inflamed earlier in 2012. Given the timing of the injury, Floyd is likely finished for the season. In a corresponding move, Dylan Axelrod was recalled from the minors.

Since WhiteSox reclaimed 1st in AL Central (32G each), both Tigers and CWS are 20-12. Only three times when CWS lost have Tigers won.
