All MMs momentum hit a red light this year

My opinion is if Mayhew wants to have some fun in Amsterdam, that's between him and his family.

Wait! What? Hey, my post has just as much truth and merit as the OPs...and why shouldn't I instantly equate Amsterdam to any mention of red lights?

2011 DRAFT PICKS
RD PK(OVR) PLAYER POS SCHOOL
1 13(13) N. Fairley DT Auburn
2 12(44) T. Young WR Boise State
2 25(57) M. Leshoure RB Illinois
5 26(157) D. Hogue - Syracuse
7 6(209) J. Culbreath OT South Carolina State

For how much we praise him i think its time to give him some shit. The draft above was a complete failure this year. It combined for 400 yds receiving, about 9 tackles and 1 sack...whipidie doo. That lack of production along with getting no immediate or long term help along the oline and failing to get drastic help for our inemic secondary (Wright has proven to be the mediocre at best CB we expected) makes me want to ask the all important business question...what have you done for me lately?

You traded up for our most recent bust Jahvid Best. This year you had the worst draft of your career since youve been the man, and did little or nothing to improve the team in FA this year outside of the LB position.
I'm not gonna bother reading all the responses to this post. I just hope someone has pointed out how poorly Patrick Peterson, Prince Amukamara, and Jimmy Smith have been playing at CB this year (I know PP can return punts but that doesn't help him cover WRs). They've all looked like busts, and if we'd have taken one of them, you'd be saying something even worse

Peterson shouldn't even be playing CB in the NFL...like i said when he was drafted by his 3rd year he'll be one of the best Safetys in the NFL.....

both Smith and Amukmara have been hampered by injuries.

Cardinals , like the Lions lack talent at CB and dont have the luxury to move him yet...the guy will be a killer at Safety.

Peterson has been a shut down corner the last couple weeks. Apparently, you guys didnt see him cover dez bryant 1 v 1 all game and do a damn good job playing the ball on numerous plays. not to mention might set a record for kick returns in a season. Jimmy Smith has played well too and has caused some turnovers the last couple weeks. Both of them have produced more than Fairley has the last 5 weeks. 9 tackles, 1 sack....not good.

I'll say the OP is retarded....nothing wrong with the picks from a talent standpoint, injuries happen

One only has to spend 2 minutes in the "politics" forum to see your vast wealth of idiocy. If im a retard....you are god of the retards.

Torrey Smith was picked well below us...hows he doing compared to titus? #3 WR with 30 rec and 2 tds is not much production for a high #2 pick.

Torrey Smith was picked in the same round though (13 spots after). So what?

Smith and Young's numbers are pretty similar. Smith has him in yards and is only beating him by 5 TD's to 2. Take away Smith's 2 monster games and they are on par for a mirrored season. Young was the right choice....

Ijalana has had a great year...

http://www.nfl.com/player/benijalana/2495174/profile

Unless that was sarcasm which wouldn't make much sense, Ijalana for injured before he even made a start for the Colts.

Also if you are trying to judge a draft after not even 1 full season you are very misguided. Titus has played really well as our slot guy this year and has come up with many clutch catches for us. Throw in the fact that h was really hindered throughout all of training camp with a hamstring and his production has been pretty good for a rookie 2nd rounder.

Fairly has played very well in his limited snaps and if not for that stress fracture that keeps giving him trouble, he would have had a very good rookie season. Here's a ittle blurb from a profootballfocus article

They reinforced that intent by drafting Nick Fairley (+5.0) in 2011 and whilst Fairley

I just want to say last year we had a LB core soooo bad it was ridiculous. Mayhew did a great job turning that into a strength with durant and tulloch. As you all recall our defense was terrible last year despite our beastly D-line. Now our Defense is looked at as a good one, until we had some killer inuries because our depth isnt good yet.

The lack of offseason set all rookies back. They said going in to the draft they were going to draft based on positions that can step in and contribute without a lot coaching. If we took O-line like you wanted you would still be complaining because those guys wouldn't have done shit in terms of production. The O-line will get blown up in the offseason.

havent seen a single person show me the good things MM has done the last 2 years that helped this team (other than signing LBs which i mentioned in the OP).....so ya everyone can keep up with the name calling or you can debate like you had half a brain and give me some examples why im wrong. what exactly is beyond comedy in your eyes, retard. Put a list of all your good things hes done in 2 years and ill put my list of negative things....i bet my list is longer. end of story.

another guy that blasts me and says a bunch of names...then doesnt give his opinion. effing joke half this board is.

Trading for Scheffler, trading for Rob Sims, trading for Lawrence Jackson, trading for Corey Williams, trading for Chris Houston, trading for Alphonso Smith, trading for Shaun Hill, signing Burleson, signing KVB, drafting Suh, drafting Spievey (for a 3rd round pick converted CB he has played well in his 2nd year, not to mention no off-season), drafting Titus Young, signing Tulloch, signing Durant, drafting Willie Young, claiming Stefan Logan, and re-signing Chris Houston for a fair market price.

The jury is still out on Mikel LeShoure, Nick Fairley, Jahvid Best, and Jason Fox.

Now I gave you my list of what hes done in the past two years, you give me your list of the negatives.

Great list, 1811. ;)

Oh, and don't forget that he acquired draft picks for WR Roy Williams. Basically robbing Jerry Jones. It didn't happen in the last 2 years but it was a hell of a deal that Mayhew pulled off
