Baseball update

I take it we lost whatever game you were watching there?

looks like the BTT starts this Wed against Iowa.

NCAAs start June 1. did we do well enough during the regular season to qualify for those? I'm not sure how postseason college baseball works. is it like college basketball?

So, yes, the tournament champions get automatic bids, and non-champions can get at large bids.

Michigan had a reasonably good season; hopefully good enough to get an at large bid without winning the tournament; obviously we'd all like to see Michigan, the #3 seed, win the tournament.

is college baseball like college basketball, where playing better early in the season and winning a conference regular season title is more important than a BTT championship and deep run in the NCAA championships?

asking for some friends of mine.

Winning the tournament is better than the regular season championship in both - I think in every sport with a conference tournament.

Winning the tournament gives a team an auto bid to the post season.

Good one!!

Not a great start. Our starting pitcher takes a liner off his arm and has to come out. Then a error by our first basemen let’s a run in. Bottom of four only down 1-0.

Boom tie game solo bomb. 1-1.Still 1-1 bottom of the 7th. Both teams are play some great defense.. Still 1-1 top of the 8th Same score bottom 8. Going to the ninth on a 1-1 game. Some really poor at bats ..

Bottom of 9th tied 1-1.. Iowa has one hit , and Michigan only four.

Top of tenth two out single leads to nothing in bottom of the ninth . We have had at least three or four terrible swings on 0-2 counts . The ball is 5 to 10 inches off the plate and guys are swinging at them still . New pitcher for Michigan. Bottom of the 10th same score.

Michigan wins with a base hit in the bottom of the 10th. Really good pitching both teams.

Sac Fly I think . Pretty sure bases were loaded but I was looking away doing shoulder exercises. They play the winner of Purdue vs Osu next.

scary game. They only gave up one hit the entire game but had to win it in 10. They scored the winning run on a sac fly after 2 walks and an infield hit.

Our bats were really silent . Our pitching was great and that was even after our starter was knocked out of the game due to a line drive. I had also heard someone did not make the trip. According to the announcers Michigan is a really banged up club.

Baseball currently on the BTN playing Michigan's second game of the tourney.

Trailing 1-0, bottom of the 2nd.

Looks like the baseball team needs a base running coach also :/

Idiots. Don't care who is out injured in the infield . On a walk which was a wild pitch batter gets all the way to third base because no one is paying attention to anything . Pathetic defense , and why didn't anyone call time?
