Michigan’s rpi was 55 going into the Btt which was second to last of the big ten tourney teams to Iowa. This game verses Osu may in fact determine who gets in between the two teams but I am really unsure. A win over Purdue and or Minnesota would really help the cause . I think we are in.
If Michigan beats OSU this afternoon, it looks like they would play Purdue at 1 PM Central tomorrow, and if Michigan wins that one, again at 5 PM Central tomorrow afternoon. The survivor of OSU v Purdue or Michigan advances to the finals.
The winner of Illinois vs. Indiana today will advance to take on Minnesota at 9 AM Central Saturday. If Minnesota wins that one, they advance to the final; if Minnesota loses that one, the two play again at 9 PM Central. The survivor advances to the final.
Minnesota and Purdue don't have a loss yet; I guess if they both get to the final without a loss they would play either two or three with the first to win two would win the championship.
If both teams who get to the final have one loss, it looks like there would be a single championship game.
That's the way I'm reading the bracket and according to the rules as I understand them.
Here is the
bracket as it stands right now.
EDIT: I was wrong. Winner of OSU v Michigan plays Minnesota, not Purdue. Would have to beat them twice to advance.
Winner of Indiana v. Illinois would play Purdue. Would have to beat them twice to advance.
If the two unbeaten teams advance to the final still unbeaten, looks like it would be a single elimination final.
I don't know what happens if a once beaten advances to the final against an unbeaten, and wins that game.
