I wonder what you would be saying if Mayhew was in that position, tried to trade and look for other options, but ended up with Aaron Rodgers.

"Smart GM looking for other options, but picked the right guy."

At the end of the day, that's who they drafted, and since then Green Bay has been the class of the conference.

I know hughes would bash it if he wasn't an instant starter.

Hughes would lose his shit with Aaron sitting 3 years. The first two they didn't even make the playoffs.

And 2008 they went 6-10. Aaron played well but I'm sure he would bash Aaron for his "QB win loss record"

ya I would totally hate having a HOF qb on my team winning super bowls....sounds awful. Have you lost your mind?

You are a quick judger (see Ebron). You'd lose your shit if a 1st round pick sat 3 years and went 6-10 his 4th.

Come on Hughes, don't bullshit man.

If you had Favre, and your team spent a 1st rounder on Rodgers, you'd have torn the kid up.

Luxury pick. What a waste. He hasn't played in three years.. you'd have said it all and you know it.

yup

Ebron was BPA. Great value. Production is coming.

Do you have Bleacher Report, LKP? I thought Ebron dropped that ball in the endzone, but the Giants Safety Stevie Brown made a great play on the ball and popped it out if Ebron's hands. There's a great pic of the play.

Buddy, you would lose your marbles!! lol. How would you know he's a HOF QB when he sat for 3 years? You're fooling nobody.

If we won the Super Bowl I will never complain about anything ever again. Hell go kicker in the first I don't care, go kicker punter back to back, whatever. Luxury picks all around. 2 QBs, 3 TEs...oh wait.

100%

It's a fact Thompson tried to trade. And he wanted Marcus Spears but Dallas took him.

Weird it wasn't a need pick like you clamor for all the time. Ebron was great value.

Ebron has played one game, impossible to determine if he was or was not great value. It takes several years to verify a pick as great. He is at least playing so value is moving up and he so far is above level of complete bust....but only time will put his true value into proper perspective.

For instance, Pettigrew will likely only be considered good, never great value.

Favre was a hof qb....I know sentences are hard for you to understand but just try to slow down....word by word.

He was a luxory pick. He was also great value. Our luxory picks aren't great value which make them shitty picks. Not to mention that pick continued another 10 years of them being a winning franchise. So ya....trust me...I wouldn't be bitching. lets compare broyles to aaron rodgers. K, now you understand why i bitch lol.

If you don't think broyles is a fair luxory pick to compare cause he was taken in the 2nd rd then we could use best. Give it some time and we can use ebron....a perfect definition of a luxory pick and was taken much higher than a rod.

Are we really comparing FaRVe/Rodgers to Pettigrew/Ebron? That's such a shitty comparison, even for this board.

FaRVe was on the downside of his career and was debating retirement every single offseason while Pettigrew is barely considered a veteran. FaRVe also played at one of the most important positions on the field, not even close to unusual for a replacement to be groomed. I don't remember teams drafting replacements for Sharpe, Gonzalez, etc in the 1st round and that's because it's a stupid idea.

As far as Ebron/Rodgers, one was drafted in the top ten and one in the bottom 10 of the first round. Rodgers fell to Green Bay and Ebron was reached for by Detroit.

Ebron could very well turn out to be a good football player but to say it wasn't a luxury pick and also compare it to the Packers picking Rodgers is just retarded.

Were comparing luxory picks, their value....and most importantly....their production. I dare mayhew to turn a late 1st rd pick into a future hofer thats leads our team to division titles for the next decade...dare him!

Ebron gets one catch he has more year one production than rodgers

Playing in actual games is a step up from what his typical draft picks do...ill give him that. If thats something to be proud of...

Yeah Reiff had more production at fullback his rookie year than Aaron Rodgers did passing the ball. Mayhew *cash register sound* genius.
