No, I'm not giving any excuses for the kid. He should have caught that ball in the endzone (even though it was a tough catch). But you're right, Hughes....HE DID NOTHING. You feel better now?? Geezus Krist! lol. Give the kid some time for fk sakes. What the hell is wrong with you?
And just like you, ripping on board members (especially me) for saying that Tate will be a solid option as our #2 because he did squat in Seattle. Remember that shit?? I do. How does that feel?? You jump the gun on everything and don't try to deny it, man lol. Tate looked fantastic, but YES, it was just one game. Ebron was bad in the passing game, but YESSSS, it was just one game again. Be fn patient.

Tate looked great.....said it during the game thread. Stafford looked completely comfortable throwing to him. Whether he was worth THAT much of our FA money that we didn't have was always my debate. We needed help on the defense and we resigned Pettigrew and signed tate and poof all our money is gone. That was always my biggest complaint on tate....needing to overpay to get him here. And based on his production in SEA we did overpay. That being said if he keeps producing the way he did last week he will be worth the money. Like it or not....as much as I rag on players I give them props when its deserved....I have no problems eating crow when its deserved....I just wish it would happen more often. Imagine if I had to eat crow on best, leshoure, broyles, titus, tahir whitehead, mike Thomas. Im already full on crow from Levy.

Packers win the division every year bascially because of Rodgers. But tons of early misses early Sherrod, Jones, Worthy,Alex Green, Neal, Brohm, Pat Lee

Which is why GB is not a very talented team....If you miss in the draft and don't bring FAs in then your team doesn't change. If your team doesn't change and your heading a team that hasn't won crap in 50 years....then you will continue to not win crap over the next 50 years. GB has won.....so if their team doesn't change....they still have a chance to win.
 
The Lions have a great chance to win. They hit on free agents and draft better than Thompson IMO. With some decent health, they have a shot. OR Stafford can play closer to a Rodgers level.

Mayhew hits on more than you give him credit for. Some long term, some for 2-3 seasons (Burleson/KVB, older guys so it was known it wasn't a full long term fix) and some were just injury misses.

We'll see how many they win this year. If he loses, then he's gone because even though he did alot right, at that point though, it wouldn't be working enough for him. This is a big year.
 
Yeah, 2010 was basically "all Rodgers." Orrrrr... Also having one of the best defenses in the league.

Also had a very solid defense in 2012.

They had problems and almost missed the playoffs. Lost to Detroit 3rd string that year. It was a down year for playoff teams with Atlanta and freaking Chicago in the Champ game. Rodgers lifted them above that.

Raji has never repeated that year. Lost Cullen Jenkins and never replaced. They've lost Collins and Woodson declined since then and haven't been replaced. Clay can't stay healthy.
 
Sure he did. But to say that they don't have other good players and it's just him is disingenuous and incorrect. Regardless of who they played and barely squeaked in, their defense was elite in 2010. And the last time I checked, Rodgers plays on offense.

They don't have good players now. And they missed on a ton of draft picks. But still win the division because of Rogers the last 3 years with bad defense.
 
Mayhew hasn't missed as much as Thompson. He needs health and for Stafford to take the next step.

gotta admit I loved what I saw from Stafford. But its only one game so were not allowed to talk about that according to some people lol. its only fair, right? Ebron was invisible for 1 game and I get flamed for saying it. So we shouldn't be able to say staffor dlooked awesome for 1 game.

Very true for 2014 except Stafford has looked good at times in past seasons too. So not really the same.
 
I heard on the radio the Lions are like 0-12 after scoring over thirty points in the next game after.

Actually in 2012, the Green Bay Packers defense was in the top half, top 10 in some categories for overall defense.

2010 the defense was elite.

Sorry, you don't consistently make the playoffs and win the division with bad players. LKP man, stop getting into those bad habits. You finally gave up the homerism, but this is starting back down that path.

Didn't say it was good defense. It was decent.

You don't make the playoffs 5 out of the last 5 years (Super Bowl win included) with "bad" players. Sorry.
