Best Likely to Land on PUP List

You ever thought if Staff threw less jump balls CJ would catch less balls? 9 of 36 or 4 of 16. Same thing.

Use him in a different way instead of just chucking him up there. Linehan figured that out in the last quarter of the season with more crosses and moving Calvin around. And we saw 3 200 yard games and another 100 yard game in a 5 game span.

I agree Calvin is the least of our worries for efficiency but he is capable of 20 more catches with similar targets. Just run different routes than the go route jump ball.

Those route/jump balls won us some games. The thing I like about Staff he can go deep. Unlike, Sanchez who has a horrible deep ball. Slants are fine with CJ but I don't want to see dink and dunks all over the place.

And many of those jump balls are Staff having no other option so he throws it to CJ. So its either sack, throw out of bounds or a jump ball. Guess what I hope he does?

Titus is going to have a break out year, watching Shawn Jefferson breakdown CJs top plays on a lot of them Nate was supposed to draw coverage and inexplicably he actually would. I don't think that will happen as much this year (you couldn't get Herman Moore in his prime to draw coverage) leaving our other guys with a ton of field to work with. Young is looking like a guy who can create separation and YAC.

I thought Titus was breakout last year. He had a good first season. And as much as we throw, its still CJ, Petti and a couple other guys. As long as he can catch the 3rd down passes for 1st down, like last year he's a big asset.

He won't really shine until after Nate is gone.

You could be right, Nate is a guy who does his job right (block, draw coverage, possession wr) and is in the right place at the right time. That is his leg up over Titus who doesn't have the vet discipline. But Nate has had more and more trouble with separation (ie back to back Off PI) and open mouths get fed. I trust Titus to be open if its a 1 v 1 vs most cb 2s and nickels.
