Brandon Inge..................?

I didn't realize Inge ran to the owner. What a douche thing to do. Is there an article about that somewhere?

Pretty sure there were a few.

Mr. I is a great owner, he likes to spend money to keep the fans happy, he also is loyal to a fault.

Gotta take the bad with the good though.

I guess until I see one I'm going to think MI had nothing to do with it. Why would he keep Inge to detriment the team, his team? And then let go of a guy like Maggs. MI has to, in some ways, know what fans say about BI. He's not a fan favorite, not for awhile now -- MI has to know that, right?

Maggs was not let go.

He just was not resigned.

Inge was under contract still.

But I doubt to a guy like MI, cutting a 6m player means jack. He's done it before so why keep Inge just because he's under contract? It makes no sense..

MI was responsible for Inge being back last year, Brandon ran to him after being DFA'd.

I have no doubt that his being on the team is either the influence of Mr. I, or a direct order.

DD has cut plenty of players with far more talent and usefulness to the Tigers than Inge, yet Brandon managed to hang with the team and get a promise that he would be brought back if he cleared waivers (he would have veto'd any trade offer) when the rosters expanded.

This is not the work of DD and JL.

I did not think DD was behind it at all. I think MI has more influence than ppl realize. DD covers for him like a good soldier.

So who does he replace? Let go of Thomas who has no options? Or Kelly, Worth, Dirks?

Inge Mudhen Stats: 1 for 9, 0 Hr, 0 RBI

And he is going to be brought up on saturday? I doubt this joke could hit in single A. Keep Worth up, and DFA Inge.

I don't understand this.

How is this putz even still on the team?

Inge finished his rehab assignment with just one hit in nine at bats (.111) but he walked several times, including twice on Thursday. Inge told Wagner he will get his timing back, but added that he wasn't getting a lot of good pitches to hit.

You suck Inge. Another excuse.

Inge is selfish and not a team player. Doing community work is a great thing but acting like Inge has with the Fielder signing in just childish... Why not come out in the media and embrace the super sub role...I mean he could go 1 for 77 and they won't get rid of him...He would have looked great in the media and to his followers and appeased us fringe guys who want him off the club...Instead Inge is selfish and proclaims he wants to start at second base... Give me a break...

Inge was 1-9 for the Mudhens? Man, he must have been on a hot streak! I would have never thought Inge could get a hit at that level.

lol I guess Inge thinks its a pitchers job to give him BP pitches so he can get hits.

So the plan is for him to regain his timing while playing for the Tigers? That's a great idea.

It's no coincidence that he's opening on the road, he would have been booed fiercely in Detroit.
