Brandon Inge..................?

So they're afraid to cut him?...lol Wtf does this clown have on the Tigers, seriously now?

Dombrowski is adding 15 days to seek a minimum wage buyer. As of today nobody wants Brandon for around 500K.

An injury to a rival team 2B-3B in the next 15 days could change someone's mind about Brandon.
What are the odds of that?...... not good.
Tigers then could rehab Inge at Toledo for a short stint, buying more time.

It was already posted that Inge gets at bats against LHP this season per Leyland. He's here forever..

Me-no-understand!!!
What Santiago did against lefties in 2011 was much-much-much-much-much gooder.

Pardon my French!

Good point as always MotownWebGuy,

Besides the phillies, the rockies might be looking for a 2nd or a 3rd baseman after they cut casey blake a couple weeks ago.

I guess I don't see Inge as a hot commodity. Even if his contract is paid by Detroit especially after a dismal spring training. Not like he was lighting it up.

Yep, looks like ol' JL and DD are keeping him. Geez, talk about your cock roaches. This guy has made more folks head scratch than those who are scratchin' at old Keith Richards. I mean, at least we know that Richards is still upright & around b/c of the drugs. What in the world is it that keeps this fella around? As someone else said...has to be he has something on the Tig's. Maybe proof JL is smokin' something a tad bit stronger than tobacco, I don't know...

"Looks like we'll be letting you go" -- JL.

"Umm, I know about your Cigs" -- BI

"What? Just regular Marbo.." -- JL

"Coach, COACH.." -- BI

"Okay, okay, you get at bats against LHP after DL stint" -- JL

"Deal" -- BI

"Ha, I didn't say how long DL stint would last, no takey backies" -- JL

LOL............ah.........
Even though we should be laughing Mitch...I get the feeling we're more like tittering that's done when we see the crack of some fat guys ass in front of a large crowd or some lame brain run into a pole and cut themselves open. Kinda funny, mostly strange and altogether sad in its own way.

I'm physically ill at the thought that anyone might believe Inge won a spot at anything during spring training.

His arrogance knows no limits, as he now, having never started there in how many years, is telling people he can play Shortstop.

Oh, that makes perfect sense!!! NOBODY wants him. CUT HIM!!!

C'mon man!!

He just can't hit. He runs into home runs here and there because he's a MISTAKE hitter. Put him against real pitching he just can't keep up. How he still has a roster spot on a team this loaded is astronomically laughable. "Cig-gate" is making more and more sense all the time. Lol. :)

Did anyone think he would not make the team???

There's plenty of us in that house. We all thought Ilitch would do the right thing.

BTW... yes - I suspect Ilitch intervened here. Inge may have been Mike's first request on securing a roster spot, in many years.

He probably said this to Dombrowski....
..........."See what you can do to keep Brandon on the team"

I don't think MI had anything to do with it. Is that any proof MI cares one way or another about BI? Plus, I don't consider Inge on the team, not yet anyway. He doesn't have to come off after 15 days, they could keep him on - and he still might be cut when he does come off. So until I see him sitting on the bench, available for a game I have hope.

MI was responsible for Inge being back last year, Brandon ran to him after being DFA'd.

I have no doubt that his being on the team is either the influence of Mr. I, or a direct order.

DD has cut plenty of players with far more talent and usefulness to the Tigers than Inge, yet Brandon managed to hang with the team and get a promise that he would be brought back if he cleared waivers (he would have veto'd any trade offer) when the rosters expanded.

This is not the work of DD and JL.
