Brandon Inge..................?

Tigers have no other choice - but to remove Brandon from the roster.
Just a matter of 'when"

....or Dombrowski is saner!
I do not want Joe Blanton & his contract in exchange.

If it meant finally cutting the cord on Inge, I would.

Blanton has no lifelines to pull with Mr. I, so when the Tigers decided he was shit, he would get tossed like David Pauley did.

I really just want the Inger era to be over and done with, it get's far too much attention and draws focus away from a team we should be pretty excited about.

It gets better,

Detroit Tigers' Brandon Inge scratched with sore groin, listed as day-to-day.

Brandon Inge on the mend; will he soon be on the move?
from the freep

If the Tigers are going to release Inge before Opening Day, they must do so by 2 p.m. today. Otherwise, he wouldn?t clear waivers in time to come off the roster before Opening Day. There hasn?t been any sign the Tigers will let him go before 2 p.m.
It is known there has been some trade interest for Inge.
It is believed that Inge would waive his no-trade rights and accept any trade. That?s entirely logical.

The Tigers ought to offer to pay 50% or more of his contract and send him on his way. Maybe we can get a couple Chicago dogs or a New York style pizza back in a deal so we don't feel totally hosed.

Leyland said after Tigers - blue jays game, he expects 25-man roster to be set tomorrow.
So it sounds like they'll decide tomorrow if Inge goes on disabled list.
the inge drama/saga continues for another day.

That's right, he does have a minor injury so he could be put on the 15 day dl. More time to figure shit out.

UPDATE @5pm: Leyland said after Monday?s win that Inge will not play in Tuesday?s Grapefruit League finale, and he isn?t sure about Wednesday?s exhibition in Toledo. Wednesday?s game might not matter, as Leyland indicated they?ll set the roster sometime Tuesday.

?I think we?ll have everything etched in stone by tomorrow,? Leyland said.

Leyland confirmed that the Inge issue, specifically his health, is the one question holding up the process.

?We have to figure out the health issue,? Leyland said. ?We?re not holding off for any other reason.?

That means if he was healthy he'd make the team. Way to go COACH.

Inge has been placed on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 30 with a left groin strain.
