Computers still love Michigan

I think the other thing that helps is they don't run as much read option with Haskins as they did with Barrett and Cardale Jones and others. They used to kill us with that.

Haskins can run at times, but they don't make it a focal point of the offense.

Haskins can't run at all. He's like a slow white guy.

The backup (Tate Martel) is scary good throwing and running (especially running).

With the way this team is playing and embracing this revenge tour concept, I am fully expecting a win over OSU now. Their defense is mediocre, and our defense should be ready to cause havoc.
There's a theory I think I've seen twice that Michigan has done a lot of work on RPO plays that take advantage of Patterson and we've barely scratched the surface of the stuff on the field. There's a lot of playbook left to open up on OSU.

I hope your right !!

I'm thinking of past years ('04 with Troy Smith, and last year), when a backup OSU QB came in, and we looked completely clueless as to how to play defense against him. In '04, of course, Troy Smith shouldn't have been eligible since he was already on the take, and was suspended for the Bowl, but credit to Haskins for making clutch throws when he came into the game.

Regardless, that should never happen again... we should have OSU thoroughly scouted from top to bottom, with contingency plans for anyone they could bring out.

It also seems like since at least 2001, we enter The Twilight Zone when we play Ohio State, and things that worked one way all year, suddenly work the other way on gameday.

But I do think if OSU goes pass-heavy against us, it will be like a replay of the Purdue game for them.

I am feeling good about the OSU game. Nervous, but cautiously confident. Nebraska put up 31 on them yesterday. I think it will be similar to the PSU game.

One game at a time.

That said, assuming the next two games go as expected, Michigan will be going into C-Bus with the best chance of winning in years.

Go Blue!

None of this matters until the final whistle blows.

We should all stop posting until the season is over, lest we jinx our team.

I think I?ve posted several times that nothing matters until the final whistle blows or until the final play is done.

But I don?t believe in jinxes.

That said you saw how I carefully worded my potential projections.

I think it would be pretty funny if we had a Michigan board that no one posted on during the season due to superstition.

We would all log in each day and just think silently to ourselves about the things we would like to post. Then when the season is over, we'd all post just a handful of things that turned out to be accurate. there would be a lot less whining and complaining.

like this:

"Well, the season is over! I was gonna bitch and moan about the SMU game, because I thought we should've beat them by more, but it turns out they weren't that bad of a team,
and we were still improving at that point, so my post would've looked ridiculous in hindsight. Glad I kept it to myself!

This could be seen as a jinx.

holy fuck, I didn't know about those rules.

I'll STFU then.

(note: FTR, I didn't say anything about who we'd beat in post #235, just that we "were improving" at the time, which is true)
