Computers still love Michigan

I went straight from HS to college, no military or other. I guess I assumed you could guess I'm not in my 30's anyways ...does clarifying my HS Grad date of 1991 help at all?

I was born in 1973 ....but that just gives it away too easily.

I think I have observed that you and hungry are in pretty much the same age quadrant within two or three years of each other.

I think hungry is about 10 years younger than me almost exactly.

We're up to #4 in Sagarin's rankings. Link-o-matic. and our SOS keeps improving as the teams we beat keep winning.

That?s nice and all, but this team still needs to keep winning on the field.

The next and the next and the next and the next and the next.

Them after that, the next and the next.

The 538 computers only give Michigan a 62% chance of beating Penn State. Sagarin still has Penn State as #10 in the nation.

That there is some blackboard motivational shit that I hope you alert my former Ann Arbor co-townie Coach Jim to post on the blackboard.

You do know that I grew up with Jim and John Harbaugh in Ann Arbor, even though I didn?t actually know them, don?t you?

Or their dogs, which is more surprising.

Yeah, I don?t know if they had dogs or not, because of their dad Jack?s job they were fairly nomadic, although Jim has said that the seven years in Ann Arbor laws of their longest stint anywhere.

I guess I could contact people from back in the day who might know if the Harbaughs had dogs.

My own long departed sweet little baby Shep, our family dog on Sunset Road, is remembered by our own Victors College buddy Dr. Dave, who delivered the Ann Arbor news to our house In the early/mid-1980s.

He probably never had a dog. 1) if he did, you would have met it. 2) if he did, his personality would probably be more mellow.

Have you not had a dog since the 80's? You should get a dog.

I have had lots of dogs since the 80s.

My sweet little baby shepherd/husky/wolf Jasmine, of 14 1/2 years, her time came about three months ago.

She had a partner dog, a beautiful loveble shepherd Hannah, for nine years who died three years ago. I went to the shepherd rescue and adopted a sweet beautiful little blue shepherd Ruby, to give Jasmine a new partner.

The dogs lived with my ex-wife, And the day we took Jasmine to the vet to end her suffering, there was a horrific argument amongst my wife, my ex-wife and me.

That was almost 3 months ago.

But you’re right, I am thinking it’s time to go and reclaim my beautiful sweet little dog Ruby.

Had a busy weekend and Monday so just getting to this now. I don't have time to catch up on what I missed but can I assume that Gulo has explained to everyone how since 2 of uofm's TD drives were extended on lucky plays, the game was much closer than you might think looking at the score, stats and/or play by play - or if you watched it and came away with the wrong impression that uofm outplayed MSU badly? Of course, the scores count but they have to be discounted when assessing the matchup and whether one team outplayed the other. So basically by his way of looking at things, that game came down to 1 big pass play which as I said many times, the Spartan D is prone to giving up - usually it's 2 or 3, but this week it was just the one. Anyway, did he do that yet?

Sagarin still has us 4th, but we're just a shade above Georgia in 5th.

then you have OSU, PSU, LSU, Iowa, and Utah rounding out the top 10. ND is 12th! Their weaker SOS, and # of close wins are sandbagging them. a thing like them benching Wimbush for Book wouldn't be captured in Sagarin. Top 3 are Bama-Clemson-OU.

The "human" polls have it Bama-Clemson-ND-LSU... an arrangement that seems hellbent on keeping 2 SEC teams in it.

We have to hope if Bama loses to anyone, it's a loss that won't keep them out of the SEC championship game. and also if the SEC East somehow wins the SEC Championship, their champ already has two losses.

I know what you're trying to say, MCHamp, but I really don't think we have to worry about that. IF Michigan wins out, I don't see them missing the play-off. IF they lose another game, they don't deserve to be there. I think it is really that simple.

Biggest shitstorm scenario:

We win out, & ND, Oklahoma, and Clemson all win out. then an undefeated Alabama goes down in a close loss to a one-loss Georgia team in the SEC championship. Or alternately, LSU beats Bama in a close game, then whoops the SEC East Champ.

You have two undefeated teams (ND & Clemson) seemingly in for sure, and 4 one loss teams making a good case for all being included. I don't see how a one loss Bama isn't included in that scenario, so really them you have three teams making a case for one slot in the playoff.
