Computers still love Michigan

looks like these computers put too much weight on pimp slapping patsies because that's basically all uofm has done since getting clown stomped by ND.

Wisconsin?

S&P+ and Sagarin still like them more than MSU. Massey likes MSU more than Wisconsin.

yeah, Wisconsin. they haven't played anyone and they lost at home to a shitty BYU team. they're the most overrated team in the B1G.

Computers liking anyone more than MSU means very little, I'm not making a case for MSU being a good team.

Are they a patsy though?

can you tell us who the good teams are?

on your schedule so far? Notre Dame.

Edit: and someone once told me NW isn't as bad as their record, but you have to be pretty foolish to believe that and besides, being better than your record doesn't mean they're a good team.

Yeah we all know Msu is better then Northwestern the last three years not sure what happened on the scoreboard in those games.

do we all know that? because I haven't said anything about MSU. But if you want to talk about scoreboards for certain matchups over the last 3 years, we can do that.

Lol. Isn’t it msu Michigan week and are you not on a message board. You can only play who is on your schedule and you are bashing Michigan’s which is stupid. Who cares who teams play when or where, and who cares if computers love a particular team. It will all sort itself out eventually. All teams have challenges during a season. I also think that Michigan is getting credit for crushing Maryland who beat Texas . Not sure if it’s correct but that may be the case.

It is uofm/MSU week but I am on a message board - I'm not following you there Bob.

Obviously someone cares because a thread was started on the very subject and multiple people have commented. It's sports talk - that's what we're all here for. but if you have a problem with this, perhaps you should direct it to the person who started the thread or those commenters who think the computer rankings mean something if it's that big of a deal to you.

I think the computers measure the quality of opposition for each team that they rank.

That said, as I pointed out in post number six, it’s all bullshit until the final play of the final game for every team.

I agree although I don't think even in the end they do a great job of measuring the quality of opposition. I think they're mostly shit all year long although possibly less shitty later in the year.

I?m less shitty later in the year too...like, whoever wins the championship - I rank them as the best team.

Easy Peezy.

And I never even took calculus.

I took it twice and I doubt I'm any better throughout the year - than you, that is. I'm definitely better than the computers.

I think Bill Connelly's S&P+ calls it right vs. the Vegas spread 53-55% of the time, which is really good.
