Coronainsanity

The first link from the CDC specifically says that pneumonia deaths related to Covid are being counted as related to Covid, and it is the EXACT SAME CDC report I used in #1136 to substantiate that.

Are you sure your claim that the pneumonia death increases are not being counted as Covid related?

Because the CDC report you posted to support that they?re not, in fact, again, specifically states that many pneumonia deaths actually ARE counted as Covid related.

THIS specifically identifies cases that were classified as Covid related that weren?t and why that would happen - I?ll give everyone a hint - it?s $.

As far as memes about skydiving and motorcycle deaths being counted as Covid related...really?

Think anyone who posted anything like that believed it was really supporting evidence?

Come on.

EDIT: ?Counts of deaths involving pneumonia include pneumonia deaths that also involve Covid-19.?

Directly from the CDC report.

I don?t know how much more clear it could be.

The CDC....the people that were against kids going back to school until it became a big political issue so now they are for going back to school. That CDC? Ya, ill go ahead and not trust anything they have to say if they are putting politics above kids health and safety.

What can I tell you?

We have only one CDC.

How are you on the CDC recommending against masks then turning around and recommending in favor of masks?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion on the CDC. It seems to me people are cherry picking CDP recommendations based on the narrative they prefer to view.

Regardless of the CDC recommending school reopening or not, it?s not what we?re talking about right here and right now.

We are talking about pneumonia/Covid related deaths and how they?re counted in the death count.

The CDC I referred to is the exact same CDC that SGG referred to ? in fact it was the exact same CDC report.

Table 2 of the first link. There is a column that specifically states "death from pneumonia with or WITHOUT Covid-19". There is also a column that specifically says 'All Deaths involving Covid-19". In some states, the former column is much, much larger than the latter.

Using simple math, it becomes clear that many states are more than likely under reporting Covid-19 deaths, due to the insane increase of pneumonia related deaths (that aren't attributed as Covid deaths) compared to the 5 year averages I shared with the 2nd link.

Think I was actually being literal? From the forum arbiter of 'not being serious' I figured you of all people wouldn't. Come on.

But does “deaths from pneumonia with or without COVID-19” exclude the ones with Covid from being counted in the death from Covid count? Because the report says they’re being counted as deaths from Covid. They certainly could be counted in both- they’re two different counts and statistics.

No of course I did not think you were actually being literal.

But there is something I ought to tell you...

I wasn’t being literal either.

God damn it Tinsel.

Ha!

Anyway, the ?deaths from pneumonia with or without Covid -19? and ?all Covid deaths? isn?t apples to apples enough data for me to want to make an evaluation - I would want to know specifically the count of Covid-19 deaths that involved pneumonia.

Amazing in this enlightened age of science and technology that there is so much confusion, uncertainty, misrepresentation, conflicting and polar-reversing information, disagreement, partisanship and ... death.

But this, being the Death Age, we should not be amazed at all.

The only thing that amazes me is that every. single. person. in America does not believe that Covid-19 is bad. Plenty of people still argue how relatively harmless it is, refuse to wear masks, and believe that social distancing guidelines are just some political plot.

I can understand arguing the details of what actual death rates are, but let's all agree that it is causing deaths, mis-counted or not.

The politicians on both sides using this issue for political capitol make me sick.

Well even the people who do believe that Coronavirus was highly contagious and lethal still rallied, protested, and rioted in the streets for several weeks. That was more amazing to me.

I am nauseated by politicians on a regular basis. So I'm not surprised that they are going to use Coronavirus to elevate their own station and degrade the opposition.

It amazes me how bad "the greatest country on the planet" is at containing an outbreak. You have fucking like 80 movies to pull from that tells you exactly what to do during a pandemic. You have fucking bill gates that told you 5 years ago it was going to happen. You have countless organizations that provide funding specifically for this. And we treated this shit worse that a 3rd world country. Americans have been awful and pathetic during this pandemic.

Lockdowns suck. Social distancing sucks. The parts that impact the economy suck. But why are complaints predominantly about the masks? The masks aren't hurting the economy. The masks aren't causing us to miss out on doing things and seeing people.

Careful, you're liable to give certain posters here a heart attack with that one.

Well, I know we fucked it up, but I'm not all that upset we didn't follow a Hollywood example of how to do things. You forget that in half those movies, they fuck things up and it becomes a zombie apocalypse. Or they quarantine small towns and stuff then blow them up or something.

Well atleast in the movies the 150k dead would have woken back up and ate brains. In this scenario they're just worm food (sorry to the religious people).

I agree. Americans have, on a large scale, been negligent and cavalier about this virus. Not one 10th of one percent has completed a shred of independent research on it. It feeds on the information spewed out by Mass Media outlets, which, in total, reflects our world as a cartoon, and this virus as the shovel in the face.

Are you aware that the average IQ of Americans is 98? That's pathetic. We're not the greatest country on the planet. Our educational system is designed to arrest learning and independent thought. Our government is corrupt to the core and has no integrity. The prognostication of this pandemic was not prescient; it was planned, and the movies and Gates were laying it out there for the masses, on the remote chance that it would actually pay attention.

Even the West Wing spelled it out in plain language in 1999. @1:50, but the entire clip is worth watching.

NOW you guys are gettin' it!

Here's another fun one: Senate Republicans lift their business immunity law (designed to immunize businesses from coronavirus lawsuits) directly from Cuomo's law (link). almost word-for-word.

Could also file this under:

-Two parties that agree on everything but abortion

-America is THE shithole country

-One Party State

-Fake Democracy

also... not holding my breath for the "liberal media" to cover this story...

I've been "getting" this for a long time, but the understanding has escalated in the last few years.
