That shoe don't fit me. Put it back on the shelf.

Strip clubs are safe; churches are not. I'd like to know the technicality that proves this.

are there people saying that? What jurisdictions kept strip clubs open, but closed Churches? I honestly can't think of any.

Around here, everything opened back up. Strip clubs were closed down when everything locked down. Bars - not "restaurants and bars" but places that only served liquor - were the last thing to reopen. So the "lockdown" wasn't actually much of a lockdown, and it should be no surprise the numbers have spiked beyond where they were in July or whenever the last peak was.

so her guidance is that "if you're not feeling well don't go to Thanksgiving"... but otherwise, go ahead and just ignore it, and she also claims the CDC guidelines "ignore the science" even though asymptomatic spread is very fucking real.

She also claims that the healthcare system isn't overwhelmed... well, shit, in El Paso, TX, they had to order more mobile morgues, and force prisoners to work in them because there are too many dead bodies from COVID-19. I guess the morgue isn't healthcare though. There are plenty of articles out there about ICUs at capacity from COVID-19 cases alone,

but I don't need to google for links to tell me she's a fucking hack and wrong, I can use common sense... I can just watch the video you provided.

More people are going to get this and die from it because of her. people like her that keep urging us to play the odds here are absolute psychopaths at this point.

This is a sick and twisted society that put people like her on TV, when she should be living in a cave, afraid to show her face...

what is this website? KUSI?...

KUSI is independently operated by "McKinnon Broadcasting."

From Wikipedia:
"... a privately owned television broadcasting company based in San Diego, California. Michael Dean McKinnon Sr., a longtime supporter of politically conservative causes, is the company's majority owner, president, chief executive officer (CEO), and chairman of the board."
He appears to have gotten it the old-fashioned way, by inheriting it from his dad.

Come on you guys... show a little more critical thinking. This mud isn't very deep. Wonder how big the checks McKinnon writes to "Doctor" Kelly Victory's are? Is that even her real name?

It doesn't fit you. That's troll behavior, and I've only accused Spartanmack of that.

I accidentally deleted my prior post... the whole "strip clubs stay open while churches close" thing is apparently because strip clubs challenged the order and a judge granted their motion, and churches didn't. CA didn't order churches to close and allow strip clubs to keep operating.

Yet, if you look down the list of sites reporting this "lawenforcementtoday.com," "theblaze" "pajamas media" "conservativedailypost," "Christianpost.com" reported it that way anyway.

Why would it not?

Why would a macro-trend not be seen in a specific ?thin slice,? to borrow a phrase from Malcom Gladwell, taken from any random point in the continuum?

There's a chart at the bottom of this link:
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/excess_deaths.htm

What I'm saying is that the growing population and aging population is going to result in a gradual increase over several years. Two different years, several years apart, should have the same basic shape, a wave that rises in winter and drops for summer. But comparing two years, I'd expect the entire curve to be shifted upwards by whatever increase is associated with the growing and aging population.

In the total deaths chart for this year, we see a different shape. Instead of dropping off as fly season ends, it shoots upward in April, there's a 2nd wave in July/Aug, and in a month or two we'll have another wave. The last 8 bars or so will rise as more deaths are reported; it can take a while for everything to be counter.

what is this website? KUSI? It doesn't appear to be affiliated with any major network, but they appear to have made themselves the go-to place for coronavirus misinformation.

the articles I found on this state that strip clubs challenged the order to close & a judge took their side. That's a lot different than a state order that allowed them to stay open, but required churches to close. Looks like Conservative (with a capital C) Christian sites took it as a state policy anyway, and ran with it... sure seemed to work on you rubes!

The KUSI article limits the scope of its story to SD county. And it IS a STATE-enforced policy, however.

I read the LA Times article, too. The clubs are open, or will be.

"Two San Diego adult entertainment clubs were poised to resume live entertainment Friday after a court ruling temporarily stopped enforcement of recent cease-and-desist orders issued by the county health department."

"Judge Joel R. Wohlfeil granted a request for a temporary injunction that stops ?any government entity or law enforcement officer from enforcing the provisions of the cease-and-desist orders? filed against two establishments ? Pacers Showgirls International and Cheetahs Gentlemen?s Club ? provided both locations follow extensive measures designed to prevent the spread of the coronavirus on their premises."

Presently, churches in 41 CA counties (SD included) are prohibited from conducting indoor services.

So yes, strip clubs are open and church buildings are closed in SD county.

okay, troll away. I'm done.

I hope you guys don't actually start to believe this bullshit, let your guard down, contract COVID-19 and die.

It's funny that we are comparing churches and titty bars. Both are entertainment venues that bilk people out of their hard earned money. At least in one place you actually get to see something. The other they just ask you to give them money with the promise that as long as you do what they say, when you die you get to go to "heaven".

I?m as physically fit as a college football player.

Also as I said before I don?t get near people anyway.

Because as I said before, I generally hate them.

?Everybody gets fucked at a titty bar, but nobody gets laid.?

so after 11 months, they still don't know the answers to how it is spread?

I wonder how they figure it out. There's got to be some methods that aren't intuitive. You can't do experiments with covid. You can guess and do things with water droplets, but to a large degree you just ask infected people where they've been and what they've been doing and a lot of people probably remember stuff wrong.

Actually, don’t sell going to church short vis-?-vis going to a titty bar. I’ve gotten laid by way more women I’ve met at church that I ever have gotten laid by from women I’ve met at a titty bar.

I once got laid by a chick I picked up at a papal mass, where I saw the pope. How many guys can say they got laid by a chick that picked up at a titty bar, where they saw the pope?

This is not surprising to a reader of Bob Altemeyer's The Authoritarians, like me.

Surveys he conducted showed a wide majority of right-wing authoritarians were churchgoers, and of those, most believed that adherence to the Christian faith bought them absolution for every sin they committed, right up until the day they died. No strings attached, whether intentional or not, and regardless of their motive at the time.

So you're likely to find a woman who is up for casual sex at a church, maybe even more so than a titty bar (where they expect a couple hundred bucks just to even talk about it).
