almost like some day seeing Jerry Sandusky with a sideline pass for psu football.
 
Heck, even PSU removed the statue of JoPa in the wake of the scandal. Engler must have paid for the seats, so they couldn't ask him to leave. But he should have been made to feel unwelcome.
 
according to Michigan's new attorney general, he's been dodging questions from them on he MSU scandal, but still going to basketball games.

throw his ass in jail. obstruction of justice!

Doesn't sound like he paid for the seats, and was there as a guest of a prominent MSU alum and booster (link):
An interview was set for March 28, because the AG was told Engler wouldn't be in Michigan anytime soon.

That wasn't true.

Engler has sat in prominent MSU alum and donor Peter Secchia?s seats, which are midcourt on the floor at Breslin Center. The former ambassador to Italy sat with him there for the MSU game against the University of Michigan on March 9. Engler hasn't limited his travels for basketball to just East Lansing. He and Secchia sat together court-side at the United Center in Chicago this past weekend for the Spartans? games there, directly across from the MSU bench.​

Former MSU Dean Strampel convicted on two counts (link), misconduct, and willul neglect. first MSU administrator convicted following the Larry Nasser scandal.

He was also charged with his own wrongdoing, for allegedly groping a medical student, and other inappropriate hornball behavior in office, but was acquitted of criminal sexual conduct of his own.

When Blackwell was first fired over this, I remember thinking he was foolish for trying to reach out to the players directly and interfering with an investigation.

But now that we know how screwed up MSU's administration and compliance protocols are, it SUUUURE looks a lot more like Blackwell was a fall guy, and they better settle with him before they start getting deposed.

This part is also bonkers:
Blackwell claimed he never received a poor annual performance review until he was fired; Dantonio, in court filings, denies that.

A review of Blackwell's personnel file, obtained by The Detroit News, reveals almost universal praise from supervisors.​
Don't lie about easily verifiable facts, especially in writing, idiot! now instead of wondering who to believe, we wonder what else Dantonio is lying about...
