Ex-Lions tight end Jim Gibbons dies at 79.

Jim Gibbons, a three-time Pro Bowl tight end who scored one of the most dramatic touchdowns in Detroit Lions history, died Saturday at the age of 79 from double pneumonia.
His most memorable play came in a 1960 game against the Baltimore Colts, when he scored a 65-yard catch-and-run touchdown as time expired to lead the Lions to an improbable comeback.

Lions third-round C Graham Glasgow was "closing on" Travis Swanson before injuring his leg.
Unfortunately, Glasgow suffered a leg injury which required him to wear a walking boot during practice this week. Coach Jim Caldwell refused to divulge details, but it looks like the rookie could be out a while. Even so, it is clear he is improving, and it would not be surprising if he supplanted Swanson in the starting lineup soon after he gets healthy.
