Phillies now looking to move Polanco's 3rd year;
Phillies predictably regret going 3 years for Polanco. Didn't excuse the Tigers from not offering arbitration. But 3 years was trouble.
Halfway joking about #Tigers' interest in Polanco earlier. Better than either 2B opt., if healthy, but BIG 'if' anymore. Not everyday option.

Have a hunch Tigers are at fish or cut-bait time with Buehrle. They've already forfeited a Plan B-type in Bruce Chen. Can't wait forever.
Can't see the Tigers leaving Dallas minus a starting pitcher. The longer they wait, the less chance they get a trustworthy guy.
Tigers have the cash. Buehrle has said he prefers the Midwest and knows the division's hitters. No-trade is the hang-up -- and should be.
Suspect that Bedard is somewhere on their list, along with Paul Maholm.
There aren't many trustworthy guys out there as free agents. They may have to put together a trade or hope Turner is ready.
One thing you can be sure of is that the Tigers will not assume any of their kid starters is ready by April. Not a chance.
Bedard's health makes him a distant -- very distant -- member of that Tigers list.
Tigers trading for Gio Gonzalez would wipe out their future. It's not necessary when they have good starters knocking at the door.

Prado seems to have been priced out of consideration by a very high-priced GM, Frank Wren. Tigers have done him enough favors.

Tigers take 1B Ryan Strieby, once a top prospect, off 40-man roster. Look for him to get plucked in this week's Rule 5 draft if not traded.
Either the front office thinks he's disposable, or he's getting traded.
Tigers could also plan to participate in Thursday's rule-5 draft.

I want to advise all of you reading Tigers news stories here from the Seamheads, Baseball Digest, and now motorcitybengals.
As best as I can see, these sites have some sort of Trojan or virus attachment sometimes. If you don't have a good firewall and anti virus, it is best to get one for your computer.
For whatever reason they come up often, not every time, but enough for me to post this. Whether they follow where you go or track any information, best to have a strong protection of all on your computers.
