Draft Day 3 Thread

Love the Fuller pick. The guy is fast and tall. A little raw as a receiver but what do you expect in the 6th.

So were putting together a track team? Ansah, Slay , Thomas, Fuller even our punter has speed.

Aside from slay, they all have size, though. Not a bad draft, despite the supidity of the trade.

for a CB with speed Slay has good size. A lot of talent taken that needs coaching, hope they can step up cause we need guys playing above their contract.

Slay is our cb2 by Sept.

Agreed, I did watch 2 Miss State games last year, and will admit that I was watching them to see Johnthan Banks, but quickly diverted my attention to Slay. His speed caught my eye right away. Love this pick, rounds 4 on, not so much

With how horrible our punting has been for years I don't mind spending a 5th rounder on a guy with a pretty decent average. We get a starter instead of a backup or practice squad guy.

Doing some digging, the guy was first team all American.

almost all the analysts yesterday said the same thing. Toward the end of the year people started targeting Banks to stay away from Slay. Its tough to gauge who the best prospect will be out of the "taller" cbs that were on the board...banks amerson etc. cbs in rd 2 was always going to be a crap shoot....hopefully it turns out good. As i stated before i would have went milliner and DE in rd 2 cause the depth at DE was there and god knows how Ansahs transition turns out....hes a wild card. Its a risky draft the way we went about it....it could turn out super good....or super bad. Neither Slay or Ansah has any experience. Its all about coaching them up and turning them into something they arent right now....scary.
