Draft Day 3 Thread

He doesn't have elite speed, but he's not "slow" either.

From what I saw he was slow off the burst, but had decent speed once he got into space. Not track star speed, but good enough.

Anything is better than havng a career long of 16 yards :D

Ansah would smoke him.

i want Robert Lester for quality depth. He wont ever start but he'll be a heck of a guy for our ST and incase of injury.

Sounds like Theo will fill the Kevin Smith role. Learn to pick up the blitz and he's insurance for Bush.

:D mocked him to us in the 6th before we got bush. i like riddick....quick feet and can catch the ball well out of the backfield. nice return option.

That being said it doesnt make much sense now that we have bush lol.

Mayhew at the start of the 5th rd: "Xand man take the rest of the day off....i got this shit"

Trades down for shit value in return so he can grab a wr and rb lmao!

Cuz Bush is going to be healthy all year without a doubt?? Bush goes down we will all be bitching about how none of the RBs on the roster suit the Best/Bush type void as a receiver out of the backfield...again. Maybe this guy is a here to replace Bush or even Broyles if they go down. He played as a slot receiver his freshmen and sophmore seasons. Who knows. Still wish Thompson wouldve slid to this pick. This guys plays alot faster than what his 40 time at the combine shows.

I have no problem with any pick we've made thus far. 3 clear starters. A few guys that can compete for depth. It's a decent draft.

I'd like to see those 7th rounders make this a better team. Special Teams. Kicker. Whatever. But get us a guy that is an upgrade over someone, somewhere.

A kick returner would be kinda nice. Da'Rick still on the board?

Wow. A TE that runs a 5.19. Convert to OL?

looked up michael williams before the draft. Hes basically a Pettigrew clone. Slow, cant beat man 2 man coverage, good blocker....took him right about where we should have picked pettidrop :D

4 with the punter.

Will Heller?

Michael Williams

Strengths
Flashes the hands and athletic ability to high-point passes over defenders, and is tough enough to work in traffic over the middle. Biggest contributions are as a run blocker, seals defensive ends inside on off-tackle plays in regular two tight end sets by consistently crashing the edge. Also effective moving his feet while engaged to get angle on backside rushers, especially when effectively using his strong hands.

Bottom Line
Williams looks like a lean offensive tackle, and often blocks like one; he might have the speed of a lineman, as well, but his solid receiving hands and red zone presence will virtually guarentee that he sticks in the NFL for a very long time as a team's second tight end

At 6'7" his frame can support 25 pounds of muscle more. This guy becomes 300 lbs. and he's a left tackle with quick feet.

I don't think we actually just drafted a tight end.
