Draft Thread 2020

Lions take guard out of OSU. From what I read, he was rated as a 1st round talent. PFF had the 49ers taking him at 31

2. JONAH JACKSON, OHIO STATE
Draft Board Rank: 40th
We are always going to love some pass protectors, and Jackson is as advanced in pass pro as any interior lineman in this class. You may know him better as the Rutgers player who actually graded well back in 2018. For his career, he's allowed only one lone sack or hit on 1,020 pass-blocking snaps, which speaks to arguably his greatest trait ? not losing quickly. Even when he does allow pressure, Jackson is almost always still holding on for dear life and riding guys past the pocket. His hand usage is exceptional, and he plays with a balance unmatched in the draft class.

At the end of the day I doubt any of us know what type of players they become.

No flash, but probably the best pick of the Lion's draft so far (value wise)

Nice pick there...probably the 3rd best guard in the draft and we got him mid 3rd rd. This draft had a ton of potential to be great...Baun over Okwara and i would have been ecstatic.

LIONS TRADE: Detroit trades picks 85, 149 and 182 to the Colts for Picks 75 and 197.

It's funny. The article I read had that guard being a great pick and the 49ers picking him in the first. So of course, I believed it. Then I read some other articles and they had him as a round 4-6 pick.

Now I have no idea what I think about the pick.
