drafting a speed back

my only issue with FA is it will cost a pretty penny, which could be tough to afford with so much money already tied up...especially if they re-sign Houston and Avril...though i really hope they see how letting Avril go will save $ to spend elsewhere. a late round draft pick doesn't cost nearly as much as any of the FA guys.

Late round picks have a long chance to succeed. Rather go FA.

Remember Clarence Williams, the Michigan RB? Michigan made him add 25 pounds of muscle.

I don't get your point?

what? i gave my reasons for using a late round pick. it isn't like the lions have any success with their late round picks anyway. i'd rather see them use the early round picks on DE, S, and OL...how many RBs will be left with 4.2 speed in R5? u call him small, but he isn't

6 ft (i doubt it) 197 lbs (no way) is what he's listed at. He's smaller than that...he's tiny for the NFL..sorry
