Ferguson, MO

Is grainey video, that could just be his phone.

Cops mistake phones for guns all the time.

It is kind of grainy - even in slow motion where you see him pointing his phone at the cop and smoke coming out of the barrel of the phone, presumably after he pulled the phone’s trigger, it’s too hard to say for sure. I suppose it COULD be a gun, but based on the video, I don’t see how anyone could say that’s more likely than it being a phone.

But seriously, I don't understand how people can protest the killing of dumbshit that shot at cops.

Especially after the video came out.

More like its b/c there are too many cops who no longer shoot to incapacitate, but instead shoot to the point of overkill, first chance that they get that can be implausibly denied of being racially motivated. And especially too many so-called good cops who will defend the action or actions of a bad cop or cops.

Recent studies have shown that LEOs are 2 to 4 TIMES as likely to have had committed domestic violence against their current or former gfs or wives, than the public overall. And NFL players unfairly are being vilified and kicked out of the NFL for doing the same thing, despite the fact that their recorded instances of DV is significantly LESS than the general public as a % of the total amount. Yet only about 1% of LEOs lose their jobs after being convicted of committing (non-lethal) DV that doesn't result in a prison sentence.

Cops are trained to use deadly force when needed and deadly force means deadly force. If a suspect shoots at a cop, they're not supposed to try to shoot him in the leg and hope he gives up. They're supposed to put the person down so they can't kill them or anyone else.

NFL players who beat their wives are being unfairly vilified? Interesting.

Sounds like NFL players need a stronger union, perhaps they should merge the NFLPA with the PBA.

63 people shot over the weekend (12 killed), followed by 25 more being shot on Monday. If they would just de-fund the police none of this would be happening.

Not sure how defunding the police would change anything. Im by no means a proponent of defunding the police. But what difference would it have made in this instance? Less paperwork after everyone was already dead? Less caution tape?

according to BLM, cops represent the biggest threat to these communities - they are why these people are killing each other. If there were no cops, there would be no murders.

I was being VERY sarcastic.

I don't see why the NRA isn't supporting the version of defunding the police where you just take police funds away and let crime go rampant. Imagine the gun sales.

Gun sales are near all-time highs - they're probably banking this one to publicly back it after the next dip in demand.

Right.

Because there would be no count of the dead.

Just like the Covid test.

Just stop testing = no more Covid.

The answers are simple.

They?re just not easy.

Contrast to the BS protests about the Detroit shooting.

Maybe nobody protesting cause she survived.

Or because she is white.

Perhaps I didn't google hard enough, maybe there are hundreds or thousands marching in the streets cause bitch who pulled a gun at cops got shot.

Watching that video makes me wonder how police officers are trained. I have no insight or knowledge about this, but this entire interaction seemed very "loosey-goosy" to me. Right from their initial approach.
