Fielder: Needs reality check

Geez Louise this thread turned into something dark and undesirable. LOL..

Bahahahahahaaaaaaaa!! Send him your P90X workout kit then, you fn dumbass.

Get a handle on what? His multi millions and HOF career if he keeps this up? You're an idiot...go away, retard.

btw dummy, I never called you stupid. I said your comment about me liking skinny dudes was stupid, but since you obviously can't read, then you really are stupid.

"retard?" this is still a cutdown? Do you go around making fun of those with special needs? Wow! You sound really tough. Most fat guys do think they're tough, tonynoballs.

Again, you miss the whole reason why he was brought here. He's never been a runner, he won't steal bases and he's always been a bad baserunner.

Losing weight doesn't guarantee you to be a better defensive player.

He can't catch pop fouls? really? OK!! ...lol.

He shouldn't have tried to go home. He should have known that and that clown Lamont should have as well. Fail!

NOBODY cares but YOU.

OFFENSIVE numbers is what i care about. HR's, RBI's, BA, and getting on base by BB's and HBP's is what counts.

You're dismissed. Thank you..

Actually about everyone i know in real life cares. We always talk about how its an embarassment and that if he lost weight, he would be able to move around better. I guess you don't know anyone like that, though...yeah right OR maybe they don't talk about it around you since you're so sensitive about being fat. In this thread alone there are 3 or 4 people that agree with me, so that means they care, so you're wrong again.

I care about all of baseball and I want a player that wants to improve, that isn't happy with the status quo...well, unless they just won the world series. How'd those offensive numbers pay off there? Oh yeah. They didn't.

Like friends, like minds. And you make it sound like he doesn't care. How do you know, because he hasn't said "he should lose weight".

Some of these people are friends, some not, some are just people I work with.

This came up a long time ago in the thread. Its where I and some others questioned his comment about how they played in the world series.

Did you forget the very first post in the thread with all of the excitement? Or did you even read the first post in the thread before commenting?

I'll copy and paste for you just in case:

Prince on the WS: "We played good baseball, but they just beat us."

The first step to solving a problem is admitting you have one in the first place. This statement concerns me.

_______________________________________

This is where I and some others questioned his attitude and if he saw a need for improvement and what that improvement might be.

What does that quote have to do with either weight or his ineptness of wanting to improve?

Do i sound super tough though? X)

Varying degrees of right and wrong here about Prince,
He is overweight, but he hits great, smart, and with power,
Could he stand to do more for conditioning/toning, yeah sure,
but will it, taking some off now, improve any of his hitting, maybe, maybe not,
probably would improve his running on bases or for getting to pop fouls, etc.
It might have been said early in the thread, but if Prince gets a few more hits in the playoffs, does this thread happen?
but, there are very very few Perfect ball players or perfect looking, and even those players who look like the perfect build, some can't hit for shit, gabe kapler?? and then Babe Ruth, a beer barrel body on a couple of toothpicks,
A few years from now, Fielder will to need to look at his situation a bit closer, to continue his position at first base, larger players do usually lose it faster in the early 30's, than losing everything more gracefully into their late 30's. Meaning, he is a DH in 5 years or so, if he doesn't take say 20 lbs. off. jmo.

What I don't take all that seriously with my mod position;
when it comes to arguing about a player(s),
....everyone needs to have their say, including the varying degrees of insults, ......
make their points, and hope it moves on.
when it doesn't stop after a few days, like before with one maybe two threads since monsters board/the move from espn, the thread stops with a lock. sorry, that's how it is,
at least my feelings whether anyone likes it or not, Stuff continues, and animosity/anger goes on when the posters see the other they argued/insulted with in the same thread.
so please, let's not go way overboard after this post, everyone made valid points on either side of Prince's size. thankyou.

Its an embarrassment? To who? You act like Fielder is obese. He's not. He's always been a big kid...ALWAYS. Look at his Father for fk sakes. Their built like brick shithouses. He would look ridiculous if he lost a ton of weight. How do you know he'd even be comfortable? You don't.

Nobody talks about Princes weight around me because i'm sensitive about my weight? Buddy, you truly are fn retarded. I feel sorry for you...i really do. You keep regurgatating the same joke over and over again. You sir...are a fn joke.

Hopefully Prince takes your advice, loses a ton of weight, steals a bunch of bases and becomes the next John Olerud. Keep dreaming, bud.

NOBODY cares.

Reading this thread you would think Prince is using a hoveround to play first base.

What does that quote have to do with either weight or his ineptness of wanting to improve?

He thinks they played well in the world series. This leads me to think that maybe he thinks he is "good enough" just like others have posted in this thread that feel that Prince is "good enough."

The weight thing, at first, was just an offhand comment like, "Well, maybe he should lose some weight," but people starting going off the deep end, so I followed.

Oh come on, mom. It was just getting fun.

ehhhhhhhhh I never mentioned that he should lose a ton of weight. That would be silly. I suggested, quite a few times, that he could stand to lose about 20 pounds. That is not really a ton of weight.

I feel that he does look obese. Tinsel has floated around a shirtless pic of him and it ain't pretty.

I've already mentioned that a few posters here have already sided with me on this and that several people that I know in real life do care, so you're repetitive "nobody cares" comment couldn't be more wrong. Actually, if you look at how mad you got over the whole thing, I can tell that you do indeed care.

There were several articles I recall where Prince's weight was a consideration when he was in the FA market. So people were talking about it.

You don't know me well enough to call mom.

Byco, Tonyballs says that "NOBODY cares," so it must be true. I mean, come on, notice the ALLCAPS on the nobody. That means that he really, really means it.

Yet he somehow signed a 9yr/$214mil deal... must not have been that big of a deal to those writing the checks, huh?
