Game 10: Lions @ Steelers Thread

Lions have had a golden opportunity to exorcise several long road losing streaks on the road this season, @ Packers, Steelers and Washington but managed only one....they still might be able to eke out a winning road record this season, but they took a step back in pursuit of that "goal" as well today.

The fake field goal doesn't bother me, giving up 37 points to a team that only ave'd 1.5 yards a carry with an offensive line that blows as bad as pittsburghs does..that bothers me

Yep. That 97 yard drive bothers me and whatever they hell they were doing against Brown in the first quarter bothers me. Dline didn't show up today in pass rush. Rebound against the Bucs

FREAKING BEARS WIN, Arizona WINS... LIONS LOSE to a terrible 3-6 team.... Lions Margin of error getting smaller...

Anybody thinking this team is gonna win the division better think twice lmao. I'd be surprised to see them go 9-7.

These clowns better get charles tillman in the offseason and pick his brain for everything he knows about generating turnovers. This same coaching staff will be here so new coaches won't be an option.

There are never gimme wins on the Lions schedule. But we beat Tampa and beat Minnesota. So then you figure we have to win 2 of 4 games vs GB, Philly, Baltimore and NY. 3 of those 4 are at home. I think our best chance is GB (if Rodgers is still out) and Baltimore. Nick Foles (along with McCoy) might tear up this defense.

The Lions can still easily win 4 more games if not more. Remember they own the tiebreaker over the Bears as well. I think they can beat TB, GB, Baltimore, and @Minnesota. I'm not sure about @Philly or the NYG game. If we underestimate the Giants, they could beat us just like the Steelers did today.

Nah I don't think any game on the schedule is guaranteed. Stafford plays like a boy genius that doesn't realize his potential and is erractic as hell with his incosistant/brilliant stretches of ballplaying. The defense can keep one aspect of an offense in check while the other half explodes. They don't generate ANY turnovers. Everyone is ready to call them "not your same old lions" but they never seem ready to take what's in front of them. They say the right things though, for what it's worth. They have no killer instinct.

They can't be bothered to do much until it seems like someone's job might be in jeopardy. All of these teams with losing records are getting it together and the bears and packers will find ways to win while their starting qb's get healthy. We'll be lucky to make the playoffs and i expect this isn't the first "winnable game" they drop. The eagles are gonna hand us our ass. The pack will too.

There were very little hurries or hits. Hence no turnovers.

And when there was Big Ben was good in the pocket avoiding them.

That's the point. Sacks, offense doesn't do jack. Hurries and hits, offense has a chance to do well.

Also...cheeno, you will be happy to know that the first ten or so rows of section 133 now properly refer to Durham as "Blanco Nino".

Just can't lost to a terrible 3-6 Steelers team period.
All on the coaches.. Poor game plan.
Poor in game adjustments, and
Just terrible decisions by Jim, Scott and Gunther.

I just watched the 9ers/saints. Wed get smoked vs either of them in the playoffs.....start tanking.

I had a premonition this was happening. After Durham strung together a few catches Elrod and Blanco Nino entered my mind like it was "Inception".
