On another side note, going to my sister's for Thanksgiving. No Cable. No game. Yay, first time in life.

I would never in a million years go to her house. And I would tell her that. If my sister (or anyone) didn't have cable and wanted to host Thanksgiving I would tell her or them to F off off a hundred times over.

I can't imagine they might not like me bringing a PC to the dinner table.

As far as Family Guy, doesn't Detroit's game always start at 12:30 so 2:30 would be middle/late 3rd quarter.

Being in Arizona, I might be able to watch the 1st quarter before I have to leave. That's something at least.

This is why you buy an android Tablet. They aren't very expensive, some are under $100, and you just set it in your lap.

I do have a Tablet, Amazon Fire HDX. Just need a site.. Now that I think of it I have a USB port in my SUV, I wonder if I could watch it while I drive. The possibilities.

I use my Asus Flip C100 Chromebook tethered to my phone all the time when the wife makes me take her shopping on Saturdays and Sundays. I watch B1G2Go, all the NFL games, whatever I want.

And she's so sweet, she doesn't even complain so long as I look up long enough to get the things off the high shelves for her... and since she's half a midget, that's anything above the knees, hehe.

I'd be so dead if she read that.

Same here. I cancelled cable in 2007. And for once, it's not because I am cheap... although I am cheap.

It's because in this day and age, when everything can be streamed, I am not going to pay hundreds of bucks per month to get all the channels I want, just to have some network tell me when I have to sit down and watch the shows I like.

With Netflix, Hulu, and plenty of streaming options like HBONow and ABc Online, I'll watch what I like when I want to watch it, not when they tell me I have to.

Plus... I'm cheap.

9-7 could get a wildcard, but you have to remember... the rest of that "easy" schedule is looking at Detroit and saying "This is easy" too.

She has Netflix and, well that's all she has. They're always gone anyway.. Plus they bring work home all the time.. so Saturday it's all work for them so they come over Sunday.. impeding my football watching. It's a quandary. Everyone knows you can't watch football and talk to guests at the same time.
