Its rare to see wide open like that for stafford. He had 1 all day on the trick play and they scored on thst drive

The other td was a short field after a fumble for watson and stafford..only dofferemce stafford drove for that field position. Watson just got it from williams fumble

Stafford has 4 tds too if weapons got that open

Then, the best young OC available. This offense needs an update into this decade of NFL football and an infusion of speed.

It won’t lead to instant success in 2021....but I bet by 2022 we’d be considered a playoff contender. Just my opinion.

Even with the best coaching, I doubt they would be a playoff contender by 2022. The roster is terrible. Nobody on defense is any good, maybe Okudah is a future shut down corner hasn't shown any thing yet.

I think they probably have 3 good OL. TJ and Swift may be really good...not sure yet.

Saleh is the SF49ers DC and has been considered one of the best HC candidates for a couple years now.

As far as talent....while I agree with you it seems relatively bare....IMO that has a lot to do with the current coaching staff and the schemes we run. They don’t suit the players all that well. Collins is a good example. He is still a good NFL linebacker.....but asking him to cover Dalvin Cook man to man with no help makes him look bad. It’s something he should never be asked to do. Just like Ouruwarye (spelling sucks) should never be asked to play press man against Will Fuller without help over the top. That’s just stupid coaching.

Teams go from worst to 1st every year in the NFL. Though I’m not expecting the Lions to do that....2 years is a reasonable expectation given the current free agent environment of the game.

Agreed. It?s really bad.

That doesn?t mean guys will become superstars overnight....but Saleh has an aggressive mentality and seems to put his guys in situations suited for them. Now, we need more talent as well....and that comes with a GM who has to have good drafts. We need DL help in a big way. We need 2-3 new LB?s. I actually like the secondary, but the scheme needs to fit them better.

Offensively, we need a scheme update and a couple of explosive players. Yesterday was a great example of why. Our WR simply have trouble separating from man coverage and we don?t have anyone on the field that stretches the defense. It makes us easier to guard when your S?s don?t have to worry about anything behind them. Lining up Hock, Jones, Cepheus and Sanu with KJ or AP in the backfield strikes LITTLE fear in a defense. Hall has speed but we don?t use him....and we only use Agnew as a gadget play guy. Throwing him 37 bubble screens a year isn?t cutting it.

If they come with a GM that continuously picks a RB or TE in the top part of the draft, neglects the defense completely, doesnt prepare for the future...then yes, we will hate any coach that steps foot here because they will suck.

Quin has completely ass fucked this franchise for the next 10 years by not picking Hebert over Okudah. Okudah, that gets burned by 7 yards on a simple go route. Okudah, that gets burned on a 7 yard slant by 4 yards.

Give me Louis Riddick and anyone other than Patricia.

We mostly liked the Patricia hire. I?m sure there were people on this board that didn?t.....but I remember most did.

We hated the first game.....getting blown out by Sam Darnold and the Jets. Loved him when we manhandled the eventual Super Bowl champs at home in game 4 or 5. Stafford completely out played Brady and things looked good.

We all hate him now because it?s obvious to even casual fans he?s a failure as a coach. This team wants him gone. We are wildly overmatched even against bad teams. We run an elementary defensive scheme that even XFL QB?s dissect easily. We run a 90?s style plodding offense without the personal to make it successful. And the absolute worst part.....he either doesn?t realize it, which is really bad, or thinks his scheme will succeed.....which is asinine. He clearly thinks he?s the smartest guy in the room.....when in reality he?s the laughing stock of the league.

He?s failed in every way. So has Quinn.

Shut the fuck up and stop crying. The sooner this ass clown coach and his butt buddy GM go....the better this franchise will be.

Hand solid but oft injured, Flowers good big fa but now hurt, Okwara played well in 2018 and 2020. Collins and Harmon good but have limitations. Okwara and Bryant injured so cant develop. Walker good 2 years then shit the bed this year
