Game 13: Lions @ Eagles Thread

Lions teams over the years have been comparable to that classic Peanuts comics strip with the Lions (representing "Lucy") holding a football while once again trying to fool a suspicious and distrustful "Charlie Brown" (representing Lions fans) into kicking it. She as always. yanks the ball away just as he attempts to kick it. The more successful (if you can call them that)Lions teams over the years have always made the claim that they are NOT the "same old Lions" every time that they have won several games, are (still) in contention, and appear to have finally turned the corner. But as we all know all too well, and like Lucy, they always never fail to disappoint. fool, and deceive us in the end.

Now I just need a psychiatrist 5?.

With 8" of snow on the gridiron, I wonder if that was the most accumulation ever during an NFL game or at least within the SB era? How much would have needed to fall before the game would need to be delayed to clear/plow most of it off?

A foot?

A foot and a half?

If 8" fell for a couple hours right before the start, would the game have been delayed? Postponed?

That wasn't a true "blizzard" but was a heavy snowstorm. Blizzards require higher wind speeds with yet higher gusts necessary to pick up already fallen ground snow to create or cause drifts or drifting. It also doesn't necessarily have to be mixed with freshly fallen/falling snow either, btw.

Having a very good year in one of my FFL this year at least, one I usually do poorly in, will plan to go out of top, I think after this year I'm going to try my best to retire from all these fantasy teams and just stop watching the nfl all together, it's just too much psychological damage being a fan of this joke franchise..I can't keep allowing for this damage to continue...it effects my personality and sets back all the positive spiritual growth I've managed over the last few years, this troubles me deeply and I have to figure out how to stop all this insanity...

ford sell the team and let someone move it away.. you might be doing a lot of people in this cold depressing state a huge favor if you did, we'd at least be forced to move on... and long term that not be a bad thing for everyone

you got some deep rooted issues, brother. i hope you work your shit out.

Since I moved Arizona has become my second team of choice. Moving up fast.

Not much better, lol. But still better. Wish I could do that.

Arizona has been playing rather well. At least it's only about 20 minutes from me so I can see a game now and then. Of course now that I publicly came out I'm a fan of their team I just jinxed the hell out of them for the next 40+ years.

This has been a strange season as a Lions fan. The losses get under my skin more than the use to, even the wins get under my skin. I think my days of being a Lions fan, or maybe even a football fan in general are numbered.

When they win, like a playoff game or God forbid a SB it will be awesome. But like many here I'm over it rather quickly. Not letting this stupid franchise ruin my day.

Your not a true fan until you buy a jersey and that player has a career threatening injury.

You're damn right. My girl already knows.........."game over............boobs to face".

I'm surrounded by Bears, Packers, and Vikings fans. It would be great to shut them up this season. A super bowl victory is the only thing that would do the trick.
