Game 3: Broncos @ Lions *Sunday Night* Thread

Once again, and as always, being a Lions fan is like having a special needs sibling.

You love them, but you know it's never going to get any better.

I'm just hating how gutless Caldwell and Lombardi are, just zero fire behind this offense. Way too conservative. This shit is just hard to watch/not worth watching anymore.

8 carries, 23 yards for are all pro rookie rusher. Over-hyped.

It's the line dude. Give Abdullah Bells touches, more opportunities will increase his chances of breaking 1 or 2 long ones. When we run the ball it's no suprise, at all. The offensive line can't keep our QB upright, let alone open up a running lane. I don't blame Abdullah for this at all. Most problems on offense are due to how poor this oline is.

We made every error possible.....d played well......just too many missed opportunities. That Bruton pick was a fucking touchdown for Calvin. Guy just made a good play.

FUCK!!

Well you have those wins from 2007 and 2011 to remember fondly.

Maybe the Lions will get 'em in 2019 when the schedule rotates around again.

While the line certainly wasn't good at all, they gave Stafford more time this week. And how does he respond? Holding onto the ball way too long, showing HORRIBLE pocket awareness, and being unable to read a linebacker backing into coverage.

I'm not sure how much time the Stafford backers are willing to give him. Another big game where you look to your QB to step up, make plays, and lead your team. And he does nothing.

in fairness, that "LB" was actually a S playing LB...so his being quicker allowed him to barely get fingers on the pass and catch the deflection. sometimes the other team does make good plays, they are pro football players out there after all. even manning and brady throw INTs now and then.

HOWEVER, there were so many additional really bad decisions, I'm good if they find his replacement sooner as opposed to later.

they were able to get really good yardage on the pass plays to Riddick and AA. good thing Lombardi decided to stick with running Bell for negative yards instead. they might have had a legit chance to win the game if they did that...and they can't have that. far better to preserve shot at a top draft pick, what with all the competition trying to get it.

My fault, thought it was an LB. I know it was a great play, but that's on Stafford to see that guy backing into coverage.

This is a game that shows you he cannot elevate the others around him. Think the elite QBs would have lost this tonight? When you need this game desperately?

Why is Bell still getting pt? What don't I understand about Bell? He just doesn't run as hard anymore.

The guy is tapped out. Going on 30 with some major injuries. Even in his best years was 4.0 ypc guy and that was when you had a light box to account for CJ.

He lost to an elite defense and elite qb. Good corners, great dline, great team. These first 3 games have been extremely tough. My hopes were to start 2-2, and I wasn't even confident in thinking that. I thought we'd sneak out a win in SD, and Minnesota. This is the toughest 4 game span to start the season imaginable. 3rd toughest schedule in the nfl, and at this point I'm thinking it might be toughest.

I think he's rushing back from rehab to try and fend Abdullah off from the starting job. But he's looking so much worse for it. Dude looked HORRRRRRRIBLE. And these idiot coaches keep forcing him carries. And for what? Because he's a good dude? We need good dudes that can ball, or assholes that can ball. We need ballers plain and simple. And coaches that can gameplay worth a damn.
