Game 4: Lions @ Vikings Thread

Give me a break. Caldwell was either told that AA's injury was a little worse or he didn't want to take the risk of losing our starting RB to an even bigger injury. Guess what? We won the fkn game.

2 wins weren't even 4th quarter come backs. The haters are losing their minds

tdalton awful awful quiet. Hughes still finds the negative that we didn't play the injured guy

Long season but great start

How bout that linebacker depth. Bellore and longa showed some things

I was just reiterating what abdullah himself said. You can both go fuck yourselves :D

Rewatched game on Game Pass. Did Stafford have a rotten game? Not really. It won't go down as his most memorable game, he definitely missed some things, but Minny was playing man coverage ALL game, and the receivers were simply not getting separation. They need to be better at presenting themselves as viable targets. Yesterday was the type of game that I think Megatron would have went berserk. Obviously no receiver on the current roster is at his level...but yesterday they were below mediocre.

Sacked 6 times, hit 8 times, and hurried 20+ times. The fact that he didn't turn it over once (came close a couple times) is testament to how he's grown as a QB.

He did get lucky with 2 throws that were right in vikings hands and should have been picked . But then killebrew had one too he should have caught. Matt and a lions fans deseve that type of luck.

hurried just means you couldnt beat the blitz fast enough.

Hurries can matter. Have to throw on a weird angle, throws off timing routes and has to throw it early where the receiver may not be to the right spot

Hurries matter to anyone that knows football

Sure they do. And everyone and their mother knows even when he was given time on Sunday, he still wasn't as sharp as he normally was. It was not one of Stafford's better games.

Don't worry, he's still a great QB and I am definitely off the "we need someone else" bandwagon, because you can win with him. But he was not great Sunday, period.

They won, that's all that matters, I get all that.

It was constant pressure and nobody open. A few misfires but every QB has them. The 38 yarder to Marvin Jones on 3rd and 17 was an incredible throw. Also 3 FD throws to Fells and 1 to Ebron on that drive. The drive was killed by a 10 yard sack by Linval Joseph. This led to the first field goal.

The 15 yarder to Roberts on the TD drive to the 3 yard line on a short field. Another big one. And the big 2 point conversion throw to TJ Jones.

First down pass to TJ Jones on the second FG drive.

The final two drives that failed were 5 runs and one sack. The fluke backwards pass fumble was on Stafford though but Zenner got it. The first two drives of the day that failed was just great Vikings coverage on Marvin Jones.

He played OKAY. Not bad, not good. He managed the game well, but it wasn't one his better performances. Stop arguing otherwise.

He was made to look only ok due to pressure and separation. The problem wasn't Stafford. Stafford made a bunch of plays to win the game. The points were Stafford making plays and some short fields.

We scored 1 TD the entire game. The plan sucked, the QB sucked, the oline sucked and the WRs sucked. If it wasnt for Abdullah and the TEs we would have had 0 yards on offense.

Stafford did not suck. He was under pressure with nobody open.

The long FG drive and setting up the TD was Stafford. Also the 2 point was Stafford. Anytime we moved the ball was Stafford mainly

Abdullah had a 29 yarder out of the 94.
