Game 5: Eagles @ Lions Thread

Lions scored 24 on best d in league. Eagles were healthy and giving up 9 Ppg and forced 6 turnovers in 3.

Good day by offense despite most of second half. Clutch play by Tate at the least

And great job by d. Really underrated. Both turnovers were legit forces. The hold after Stafford fumble was so huge too

Lawson and Diggs played a little better today. Wilson Back was huge. Bush really struggled last two games

244 total yards is a good offensive performance?

It took us 28 minutes and 32 seconds in the second half to score 3 points and that was after a turnover in their end. We got two timely turnovers and a ridiculous penalty margin. Today wasn't a good enough game to beat the Vikings, don't kid yourself.

It was. Eagles better d. Eagles better o than Vikings

Eagles were averaging 30.7 ppg. Held them to 23

I am trying to talk football. They aren't.

Stafford looked great today. What do you think

I can only see highlights and then final stats, no Lions game in boston.
I have the nfl network that shows highlights from every game.
3 TD passes is great. He has had as many and more in plenty of games.
Total passing yardage average was a bit low.

From my previous posts all I'm saying to you is if you stay on point like that post from you that I quoted, the other guys really don't have much to complain about with you.
I understand the homer glasses and looking on the bright side and all with
All the true wins stuff after the losses,
but that is what turns a thread into a shit festival.

Look into game pass. Only 100 and you can watch game in 30 min. Games available once 4 pm games done

The Lions looked good in the 1st half. Shitty in the 2nd. Came up big tho at the end and won it. Against a very good team too. Gotta like that....just wish they could play 4 quarters. Showed fire with their backs against the wall as well......another good thing.

Caldwell even showed some fire on the sidelines. Been waiting for that . The offense was MIA in the second half with a chance to really salt the game away . I agree with everything you said. Finally got some timely turnovers, and won the flag battle.

If Matthews carries the ball with the correct arm there would be no fumble. True loss?

Smart gameplan. That front 7 is relentless. Cooter still needs to make adjustments better....

No passes over 15 yards and Stafford still gets sacked 4 times. Did Tomlinson get benched yesterday?? I heard something about Glasgow playing in his spot.

Yes he got benched. Glasgow played the majority of snaps

Marvin Jones injury has a lot to do with shorter passes too. And avoiding jenkins and McLeod a good thing.

24 points on a team giving up 9 per game. Good job

Exactly. The OLine is still a work in progress and Tomlinson is terrible. Not ready to give up on him yet, but it's close...

This is not a 1 game thing. The inability to stretch the field has been an ongoing issue for this team. Is easy to gameplan and make adjustments for our offense when everything we do is within 10 yards. The fact the entire second half we were playing against a single high saftey 19 yards down the field and never even attempted to take advantage of it is just plain shitty strategy. It worked for a quarter....they adjusted....and we never readjust. Its been a problem and it will continue to be a problem until we get smarter people on the sidelines.
