When you're a Lions fan, one win matters that much

No, the FIRST win matters that much.

I don't care who admits it or doesn't but ever since '08, every Lions fan is afraid of another 0-16 season until the first win is under the belt.

We know this team is shit this year. Some of us have even accepted it. But until today, the fear and embarrassment of repeating the impossible was hanging over us all.

I for one don't think I could take another season of my friends saying "Oh man, I don't even know how you do it. I feel for you man".

Fuck them. I am a Lions fan. They will never understand what that means, and I don't need their pity. I just don't want a repeat.

Nail on the head, my friend.

We already lived through 0-16 once. It doesn't get any worse than that. I don't care if it happens again personally, it's already set in stone forever that we were the first to do it.

Yep... and I would hate to be the team that manages to do it again.

Once was bad enough, we don't need frequent flyer miles on this airline.

Personally, if we suck this bad id rather lose as many as possible so mayhew gets the boot. It'd be 6 years too late.....but whatever gets us there faster is a blessing.

I've become numb to it now. I'd rather them lose them all then win just enough for ownership to accept mediocrity.

Still got 30+ dropped on us at home. They're a joke...
And who wants to tell me why Caldwell had any faith in our defense with 2 minutes left on the clock? They kicked the FG? Nobody could cover Jeffery to save their life..lol. But Chicago decides to run the ball 3 times in a row? Gase and Fox are both retards. Thanks, Chicago!! You handed us the game.

And the Lions deserve to get a call like that every game for the next 40 years.

In my opinion, the refs blew the call on Freeman's catch.

He makes the grab. He makes the "football move". I don't think he's going to the ground as part of the catch, I think he dives forward after the catch for the endzone.

The only place I could see an argument is that he doesn't do anything to secure it, so they may be able to say he didn't establish possession before going to the ground, but that seems weak to me. That ball doesn't move and inch. He's got it.

It should have been a TD, period.

Freeman was 100 percent not going to the ground. He was in the middle of a football move.

It looked like we were watching the same team on both sides of the ball. Big plays to the no 1 wideout or pass catching RB. Qbs that were both on and off at the same time. Timely defensive stops followed up with untimely defensive penalties and chunk plays. Oh and questionable coaching decisions for each team. The Lions and Bears are certainly in the same tier.

I'm curious to know Mr Nightmare's thoughts on yesterday.... How the game would've gone with him. Hopefully he speaks to the media today.
