Game 7: Steelers @ Lions *Sunday Night* Thread

Have to finish in the red zone. Terrible execution. Shanked Martin punt. Giving up 97 yard td. 40 yard jump ball to brown

7-2 finish looking tougher and tougher

Hats off to you man. First reasonable post in years.

You can truly understand how depressing this franchise is when they can even bring you down.

The refs let them play and the Lions were healthy enough. Mihalik even played fairly well for a 3rd string LT. I only call out bullshit for a ref error or way too many injuries

Had a shot to beat Steelers and Falcons in the redzone (Falcons game had ref involvement too) but the Lions couldn't get it done. So 3-4 instead of 5-2. Woke up too late against Saints but had a ton of injuries. 12 freaking tips is just terrible luck.

Stafford's ankle looks much better and he got time and played really well. Even had a big scramble. Stafford hurt helped the Saints. That is a fact

Panthers have a good D. Lions didnt' do much until late but I thought they should have gotten a stop with Benjamin OPI. The refs let them play there too

Stafford put up alot of yards... but i thought he had a pretty poor first half. Alot of completely off target throws and bad reads. Nice 2nd half by him but couldn't get it in the end zone.

The Lions ran 16 plays inside the Steelers? 20-yard line Sunday for 10 yards. They failed to punch the ball in three times from the 1 in the third quarter, and in the game?s biggest turn of events, gave up a back-breaking 97-yard touchdown pass.

Stafford threw for a season-high 423 yards, but he completed 2-for-11 passes for 6 yards in the red zone and took one sack.

He was stopped for a 1-yard loss on a fourth-and-goal scramble play with 4:31 left in the third quarter that seemed to suck the life out of the Ford Field fans.

The Lions are one of five teams to not have a fourth down conversion this year along with Minnesota, Kansas City, Indianapolis and Denver. The Lions, Colts and Broncos are all 0-for-6. Vikings (0-5), Chiefs (0-3).

LIONS COULDN'T MOVE THE CHAINS SUNDAY.
The Lions were 2-of-12 on third down (17 percent) in Sunday night's loss to the Steelers, their lowest third-down conversion percentage since a 2015 loss to the Chiefs (also 2-of-12). Matthew Stafford didn't complete a third-down pass until the fourth quarter. (ESPN Stats & Info).

He got it in the endzone though. TWICE for fun but TWO drops!!

Yep to Jones and Fells. 4th down play was under intense pressure. Lots of failed runs. Stafford had a great game against the team that had allowed the lowest QB rating in the league

So the Dolphins just traded Jay Ajayi to Philly for a 4th round pick. Where the hell are the Lions in this?? A 4th round pick for a somewhat established running back? I would have given up a 3rd for him, instead of watching what they have in the backfield right now.

Don?t forget cheap. Less than a million cap hit

And still under contract for 2018. Good move for Eagles. Dolphins are dumb or he is a big head case and will want a monster deal next year

Would have been absolutely great for this organization to step in. What are they sitting on their hands for??

2 for 12 on 3rd down. Didn't complete a 3rd down pass until the 4th qtr. He sucks.

Are you drunk. Stafford had a great game. 400 yards. Great throws all day despite some pressure and no run game. No turnovers. Steelers had the lowest passer rating allowed coming into the game. Stafford played great.

No pressure almost the entire game with errant throws almost the entire first half. Couldn't convert on 3rd downs and couldn't score touchdowns. 15 points and lost. Sucks.

He made perfect throws to score TDs and convert 3rd downs. Watch the damn game

I think this says a lot about Matt.. "Matthew Stafford didn't complete a third-down pass until the fourth quarter"

Not trying to bag on him and even though yards are great but when it was time for him to complete a pass he failed..

2 for 11 in the red zone. 2 for 12 on 3rd down. that's 4 for 23 when it matters most lol....my 5 year old daughter can do that. Ive been watching his entire career.... he's the same guy. He's the between the 20s champion.

A slight fix I suspect some of those 3rd down misses were also in the red zone.

Ajayi is a headcase
