Game 8: Lions @ Vikings Thread

Dont use pff for qbs. One position way too complicated..matt has had some costly picks but does way more good than bad.

Run game, weapon separation and better pass pro would help

Either they know what they are doing, or they don't.

It can be position by position yes or no. Doesnt have to be one or other for all positions

Will see where he ends up too

right...PFF says one Lion is good so you believe them. They say your idol Matt sucks, so they don't know what they are doing.

Most years they say he is in 9 to 12 range actually
Like 12th in 2012. 9th in 2013. You remember those years for Matt bashing?

When you have to start naming the years then we're in trouble.

Tua or Herbert would of looked great in the Honolulu Blue.

Their qb ratings would be in the 60s with KG hurt, mediocre protrction, very little run game, no weapon separation and a defense getting beat constantly

I think tua would throw a pick on every single play

Talent but underachieved
Marvin, hock,kg,swift all good. Just dont get sepearation so makes it a little tougher for stafford. Hall a decent deep threat

Decker and Ragnow good. Dahl banged up, big v banged up and jackson solid but a rookie..crosby a backup

Peterson fast start but age got him..swift a rookie solid ypc though. Needs more touches. Kj pass pro good and improving. Playcalling a little too predictable onnwhen we run which hurts run game

Good players didnt execute. Unexpected

Prater missing kicks too

Defense injuries and poor execution..young guys didnt develop. Ex pats have been good additions

When good players never execute they aren't good players.

Marvin Jones is like Matt Stafford inconsistent.

Marvin is pretty consistent. Injuries plagued him last two seasons. TD rate still normal 8-9 TD range for this year at 4 so far. Yards per game rate is down this year to 618 yards rate for 16 games. Typically Marvin in the 900 yard range all other 4 years pace (one 1,100 yard season), but injuries took that away in 2018/2019 missing 3 and 7.5 games respectively. But the pace was 900 yard range in the games he did play

8-9 TDs per year is really good for the last 4 seasons as well.

Marvin is a good player. Wins jump balls too but not getting as much YPC or separation this year. as the past 4 seasons. Maybe injury recovery is a factor there too plus getting up there in age now in his final year in Detroit.

Let's see what he does against Washington. Need him to step up with KG hurt again. And now Hock battling a toe injury

Lions dropping passes at highest rate. Stafford is doing his job

No. I had high hopes for Stafford this year.....but it hasn’t happened. To many instances of panic....too few instances of greatness. He makes us better.....but not as good as he could.

Not all his fault....drops hurt. Play calling is elementary at times. Nobody but Golladay makes plays. But, none of that matters when you throw balls directly to defenders. His completion % is one of the lowest in the league.....and even though our red zone play calling is laughable.....he doesn't put the ball in the end zone enough to be an elite QB.

I’d give Stafford a C+\B- this year.
