Because the blame should be on the context of what actually happened during the plays. If its a receivers rbs or defense fault, then they get the blame too
This is the problem right now on this board. If someone says Stafford had a bad year or that he sucked, there is a small group of people that do their best condom imitation to protect Stafford by blaming anything else they possibly can.
Look, the vast majority of us don't think Stafford ruined this season on his own. In fact, I'm pretty sure nobody has said that. Everyone knows there were drops and that the defense didn't force a lot of turnovers. The problem is people want to portray Stafford as elite or "almost elite" and he showed no signs of being able to carry this team through a tough stretch.
The fact of the matter is that RIGHT NOW, he's an average QB that has the potential to be above average at times and the inconsistency/lack of discipline to be below average at times. That's not the description of a franchise QB.
