there were no internet tough guys back then because there was no internet.
Even here, it's not always prudent to interject.

So you turtled and watched?
well when I was 18yrs old, sitting in a room full of other students and dorm mates and one of the 7-foot tall Fab-5 walked in like that ...I guess I froze up. But looking back, I probably should have jumped up, got in his face and shouted - "So, what the fuck are YOU going to do about it?!?"
But we regularly hung out with Juwan, Jimmy King and Ray Jackson in that TV lounge. Jimmy King loved Down with Droopy D on the Cartoon channel and down the road I owned up to the laundry miscue and Juwan laughed his ass off about it.
Your probably should have hit him with a metal folding chair and then followed up with a flying elbow drop off a table. That would have been the mature thing to do.

I'm messing with you. I'd have done as much as well. I had a keg in my room once and Dale Keitz (Michigan DL, three-year starter) walked in and said "we're taking this keg." He hefted it on his shoulder and took it down to the basement of Rumsey House. I just grabbed my beer mug and followed him down.
Was the party fun?
Yes ... Rumsey House basement parties were the best.

I know you are ...but that is a funny ass story!!! We had a few OL down the hall who were friends with girls I knew from high school and they'd come to our 'dorm parties' - always amazed what lightweights they were when it came to beer.
You were invited to a football team party.
No shit you should bring the beer.
The alternative was that they all fit in room 304 and that was not happening.
I had a buddy on BSU's football team that was about 6'6" and 265 lbs. He got ripped off about 7-8 beers one night and I had to try and help drag his ass back to my house from a house party down the street. He had his arm wrapped over my shoulders and could hardly walk on his own.
I felt like I was in a freaking strong man competition dragging a car home.
That?s not a lot of beer for a guy that size to get that blasted from.
Any cute ladies in attendance?
It was 1977, so very few.
That's why we can't hire a guy like Porter Moser.
I started at Michigan in the fall of 1979 - there seemed to be a number of cute ladies around campus.
