Hoops vs FSU

Wow.

I just heard the line was 4 for Michigan in some places; 4 1/2 in others.

So not sending a 75% plus foul shooter to the line with a four point difference...?

Dana Jacobson is lucky she didn't get grabbed by her shirt and tossed to the side after asking that question. That's what Leonard Hamilton likes to do to his players and coaches.................Bobby Knight style!!!

Why didn't he foul with 10 seconds left down 4 ?

My theory is FSU coach told his team to avoid fouling Robinson...foul ANYONE but Robinson. Duncan got the inbounds and the defender had that deer in the headlights look and then said fuck it.

I’d be betting on Michigan if the line were -9.5. You guys are going to kill Loyola

She and the guys were right.

He blew ass.

The chances of winning were 1 in 25 at best - probably closer to 1 in 100 - so fucking what?

Your chance of winning if you don't foul are zero.

Play for the last 10 fucking seconds.

EDIT: seriously as fucking hell, I'm watching the end of the game with my wife, and I watch the defender drop off Robinson, and I ask the wife "why the fuck are they not fouling him?"
Watch the assistant coach in the background. Looks like he throws his hands up telling the player not to foul

Could be.

Maybe in desperation he was was hoping Robinson was going to pass to one of our horrible foul throw shooting point guards...then "wow...how dumb was that...?"

looking ahead to the next game, I have to admit, the Sister Jean thing is a sweet story.

I hope no Michigan fans post horrible takes about her, and get everyone rooting against us.

The final 10 seconds were perplexing but FSU was really dumb that entire final minute. 45 seconds left and they got it to a 3 point/1 possession game with the ball, and they continued to foul and jack up difficult 3's.

But congrats on the Final Four berth and having seized the game in the 3 minutes prior to all of that. Haven't watched much of the Loyola games so far to know if they're legit or just on an incredible run. They did win at Florida earlier in the season but had a couple of ugly losses too.

Maybe Hamilton's handlers had a middle and he knew it and at 4 they win both sides.lol.

I don't think anyone will but they already have everyone rooting for them lol..

One of the problems of being such a domineering coach. Hamilton told them not to foul Duncan and there was no way they were going to foul him, even if it made sense to foul him at that point. Better do what coach says or you'll be sorry!

Didn't really help when Mathews, Rahkman, and Wagner were making jokes when asked about her last night. Should have just said, "...haven't been paying attention to much outside of this team but I respect her and their school."

They didn't really say anything wrong, but I can see how oversensitive PC America could have taken their words as disrespectful.

Stat to think on.

Fsu gets 40% of their offense in fastbreak push outs off of turnovers.
Last night they had 0 according to my friend. I'm trying to think of a fast-break point they got last night?
That is stellar defense!!!

last nights game was the first game I watched the entire tournament. Boring game. While there was some good defense, it was also sloppy and nobody could knock down a shot. But, if you're a UM fan it doesn't matter. A win's a win.
