We had the ball a few times up 51-45. In my opinion game was lost duning this stretch. Michigan was out scored 32-19 from the 16:42 mark. Combination of not figuring out msu?s Defense and not making any shots. I also though Jb sat Iggy to long but I could be wrong about that. We started out driving to the basket to get that 6 point lead and then just stopped and let MSU defense dictate our shots. The nonstop doubling wasn?t working all the time. Sometimes you just have to try something different. Poole was a liability on defense on many possesses as I think it was him losing his guy. Jb?s inability to get more minutes out of Johns jr and DeJuliuis is concerning to me. I guess not everyone can be Duke and Kentucky. Give MSU credit after taking 6 point lead our offense was just not very good.

we swarmed Iggy on the drive, dude hasn't had more than 2 assists in a game in 3 months. good player, black hole

UM had no clue on how to deal with the pick and roll with Tillman and Winston, lots of drag screens too, little different look for MSU

Poor shot selection by UM. Poole was jacking NBA 3's after switches with Teske being guarded by Winston

Izzo decides not to run the fast break much, helped allow Winston to play 40 minutes and for us to only have 6 turnovers.

Our A- game beat UM's B- game, will be interesting in EL in two weeks. Hopefully Ward is back to UM has to play a different team with different prep

I agree with you . After those two drives to the bucket you would be hard pressed to find very many drives to the basket by Mich. Shame because Poole was blowing by his guy. Credit to MSU defense for stopping that after those two . It got Michigan offense all out of whack and with less then 10 assists Michigan ended up playing way to much Hero ball. Sadly Pooles shot selection has been piss poor for a long time, and Iggy should keep faking and driving. Up 6 I just didn’t understand his long three attempt. I stand by what I said . Up 51-45 Tom calls a time out and it was after iggy’s dunk and Michigan celebrated like the games was over with freaking 15 minutes left. Maybe it’s just Poole, and Iggy being feshmen and sophomores and MSU speed them up and got them out of sync. Worked on Mathews as he had his Invisibility cloak on yesterday. Does he get a pass because of the Ankle twist? Naw tape it up and fight through it Charles.

tough to blame them for reacting the way they did. they were down 6 or 8 in 1st half and fought back and took the lead and appeared to be taking control of the game. Sure there was plenty of time left but it was an intense moment after a big momentum swing, I don't think the way they reacted was over the top or inappropriate. the rest of the game was a battle - I don't think they held back or were taking anything for granted.

One of the main criticisms of Izzo from MSU fans is that he just hoards timeouts. That was a break in character for him to use that one in the second half. Usually we wouldn't take it and find ourselves down 11, he did a good job of settling guys down.

Also, just listened to Beileins post game presser, might be my 2nd favorite coach in basketball
