Hoops vs MSU

Cassius was just much better than Simpson this game. He probably scored or played a role in at least 80% of MSU's offense with his play today.

One more shooter would help our offense so much.

Simpson disappeared at half and Winston got the better of him this game that is for sure.. the offense was so poor from the 15 minute mark of the half. The fakes and drives were working and they stopped doing them. They turned it over and settled for jump shots, and couldn’t hit them..

Well... that 10:00 to 2:00 stretch was a twilight zone.

Izzo finally out-coached Beilein.

he's Italian.

Today Michigan did not look like a contender for the national championship. Michigan State did.

I don't think they have for a while. That 17-0 start got expectations for a shallow, poorly shooting team through the roof. They're well coached and play good defense but they are ****ing dreadful on offense.

That was a great basketball game, I felt both teams left it all on the court. MSU had just a little more in the gas tank and that's why they pulled it out. UM's legs were gone and I felt that when MSU played fast UM had trouble keeping up.

Winston was unbelievable, 27-8 and played all 40 minutes.

Box score . Michigan only 6 assist leads me to believe a lot of hero ball was being played.

Charles only 4 points. Hope ankle injury is not to bad. When he is invisible we tend to lose.

Msu 24/48 50%
Um 23/58 38.6%

i think hes fine. i commented on the MSU board about how quick and fast he is and that was well into the 2nd half. i think the lack of assists was more a case of great pg defense by both winston and Simpson. when uofm had the 5 pt lead in the 2h, i thought winston looked gassed but he seemed to have more in the tank.

MSU is so much deeper. Which is impressive considering their injuries. I'd say they had a lot more in the tank. Their on ball defending was also much better. MSU never double teamed, where Michigan constantly had to, leaving open shooters often.

At some point spartanmack will realize he's been on my ignore list for years. The Italian comment reinforces why.

One strategy I didn't understand. Just let Simpson check Winston. We gave up so many points on piss poor double team rotations. Put us out of rebounding positron too.
