How the Mueller Investigation Could Play Out for Trump

I'll just have to work harder for the September Award.

You weren't even in the running for August so you'll have to work a lot harder, especially now I'll have in the back of my mind that you could just be saying whatever you're saying just to win the award. I'll do my best to not let that effect my judgment, but no promises.

August ain't over yet.

The $50k I was referencing was to a 'mystery' tech company. I agree with you that the Stormy stuff. On the list of things Trump has fucked up, it's at the bottom of the list. I'm not surprised at the air time it got though, people eat that shit up.

I'm still not convinced that Trump gets impeached. I think the worst thing (and still a long shot) that happens is he finishes his 4 years, doesn't get re elected, and then his dirty dealings catch up to him. He's Teflon as long as he's in the Oval Office imo.

I'm not aware of the mystery tech company. Is it a reference to cambridge analytica? Did I miss something big?

Among other things: Joe Biden was responsible for allowing the attacks on Anita Hill that allowed Clarence Thomas to get confirmed.

and pushing the extreme legislation in '05 at the behest of lenders that student loans could not be discharged in bankruptcy. That's contributed to skewing college tuition and the awful debt burden many bear. I've read that the idea graduates were declaring bankruptcy to escape student loan debt was largely a myth pushed to get this legislation through. thanks joe!

He's also been more or less anti-worker, anti-middle class, pro Wall Street and pro-Invading Middle Eastern countries during his entire tenure. he's not progressive in any sense, but he plays one on TV.

Nevertheless, I'm sure the 50% of the population that gets their news from Fox, Breitbart, etc. considers Biden a dangerous socialist, communist, terrorist-comforter.

I mostly consider him an idiot. I think most conservatives think the same mainly because he's an idiot.

You should be a lot more greatful. he's helped deliver many of the policies and invasions you cheered on.

To be perfectly honest, I don't know. When I say 'mystery' I'm not trying to be dramatic. That's all the information that was released during the Cohen proceedings. The payment was unreported and the document that proved the payment didn't say, according to the report I read.

I can't find the report I read in my feed, it was a day or two ago. I don't normally link reports outside of AP/Reuters but I'll throw one out just for (possible) clarification.

Forgive me internet for linking to NBC.

It was probably Breitbart online.

Or Fox News on line.

So for those keeping score at home:

  • National Security Advisor Micheal Flynn - *pleaded guilty.*
  • President Trump's Personal Attorney Michael Cohen - *pleased guilty.*
  • Foreign Policy Advisor George Papadopoulos - *pleaded guilty.*
  • Deputy Campaign Chairman Richard Gates - *pleaded guilty.*
  • Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort - *convicted on 8 federal counts.*
  • The Trump Foundation is under investigation.

Whether Trump knowingly employed felons or was ignorant to it all and not a co-conspirator, he's not looking to good right now. Luckily for him the mid terms are coming up and if the GOP continue to stomp the Dems into the ground in term of voter turnout, it won't matter.

You misspelled grateful and whether I as for or against any invasion, I can't think of one that relied on Biden to happen.

According to liberal civil rights and constitutional expert, Allan Dershowitz, at best the violation of campaign finance law they have Trump on is roughly the equivalent of jaywalking. There is no limit to how much he can give to his own campaign and the fact that he didn't disclose the contribution, if it is in fact a contribution, is barely a crime - he said something to the effect of if you applied the disclosure law equally, Trump wouldn't even stand out as a serious violator and cited that Obama was guilty of the same thing (not for the same reasons but the motivation doesn't really matter).

This is the outcome I expected assuming nothing else comes to light.
