IF and honestly that's an BIG IF right now we lose tomorrow (with the best pitcher in the majors starting for us) AND Leyland is actually not brought back (which I highly doubt) who is actually out there who you would want to manage this team?

No Gibby, No Tito! Would you seriously like an unknown/non experienced manager to manage this team? Oh wait we could always bring in Ozzie when he gets canned here in a few weeks..... lmao

coco ( no pun intended ) the monkey could manage this team better than that moron leyland could

And speaking completely honest our team is 1 win away from advancing with the best pitcher in the entire league pitching for us so hoping for a loss tomorrow is totally unjustifiable. Its not like were down 3-0 in a best of 7 series and notably out of the series. Were 1 game away from advancing so suck it up and keep the hate until after were officially eliminated.

Fail

Frustration is rearing its head.

Now as far as managers out there we don't need to get a "named" guy. Get a young inexperienced one. One that has smarts, maybe a former player or a AAA guy. Whether they're better or not isn't the point. Some times managers run their course. I always here from half of you its all about the players, Manager has little effect so who cares if Leyland is here or not.

Losing last night significantly reduces the chances that the Tigers advance to the WS because the Tigers have to burn JV tomorrow. That said....any Tiger fan that is rooting for them to lose tonight is a fucking moron.

JV had better be prepared to throw 140-150 pitches tonight since we have the worst set up man and closer in the game.

Yeah I always wish for my team to lose in a game that decides whether or not they advance to the ALCS. Get the fuck out of here. I understand the frustration but they were just up 2-0..if they win tonight and get out to a lead in the ALCS they could be going back to the world series and anything can happen... The Tigers have made the playoffs like 3 times now in my entire life, so while they're in I'll be rooting/hoping for a world series championship run.

It's about our bats. We can't expect JV to be perfect, we have to give him some run support or we're likely finished. Some of the ABs from our guys last night were embarrassing, just going through the motions, not even trying to get on base.

I see that nsonnett, in his prolonged absence, has been away refining his reasoning skills. The syllogism in his mind is a) If the Tigers lose b) Leyland will be fired c) A better manager will replace him.

Not a true syllogism, but it is representative of the premise. Another manager would not have put Valvderde in the game, I guess is the point here. Hard to really know.

Jim may be stepping aside win or lose so who knows.. We need to hit that is plain and simple.. Lloyd can pack his bags as far as I am concerned... DD needs to be better... Take Daddy Lamont also.. But you can't root against your team.. Just a knee jerk reaction to losing last night... Hopefully we will pound them tonight...

That unknown/non experienced manager over in Chicago did very well for them this year. They weren't supposed to compete at all.

I'd almost take a manager that is just as good as Leyland, just so I don't have to look at him anymore.

Jim was quoted in the paper that he wants to continue managing. That was in the newspaper yesterday.

I'll be rooting for them to win, but I'm sick of this managerial staff and you aren't going to see Lloyd or Lamont leave unless Leyland goes.

Don't really agree with that.

Regardless of whether he pitched the 1st and 5th games, or 3rd and 7th, JV was only going to start two games in the ALCS.

I'm not really worried about pitching matchups anyways, because our pitching is so good, Fister and Scherzer match up well with both the Orioles and Yankees best pitchers.

Dumb.

I don't hope we lose tonight but I do think we will, the momentum is all with Oak now. I don't think JV will be bad or anything but let's face it.. The offense just isn't good and I don't think they can score enough even with JV pitching. I've decided I'm not going to watch tonight, there have been a few times this year when the offense does much better when I don't watch.. So I'm not going to watch..

You're welcome.

See ya all next time, if there is a next time.. Hey we still got the Lions though right. LOL.. The Lions, bahahahhahahahaha
