If we miss the playoffs

Not alot of attempts. % can be greatly skewed with a few drops and low attempts.

ok...so the team was 1-3 in those 4 games. In the one win Stafford was 2-2 (100%) in the 4th. Overall he was under 25% so ALL of those incompletions came in the 3 losses. If he wasn't throwing the ball enough then it is on the coaching staff. If he was throwing the ball enough but only completing <24% of those passes in the 4th it is on Stafford. Which was it and PLEASE don't blame it on the drops.

If you watched you would see it wasn't on Stafford. It was many drops. Calvin having the biggest one in a loss. Very few Stafford misses.

It was unlucky gusts of wind...

2 tipped balls and 3 drops in his 7 incompletions against Philly. Missed Calvin twice. Once deep which is tough in that weather and once on 4th down when the LB made a great play.

And we already went over the Steeler game what happened.

1/8 is 12.5%. It jumps to 50% with 2 less drops and one less batted ball. Clearly its low attempts and drops.

4 of the incompletions were down 34-20 already so who gives a shit.

The division was ours for taking..GB had Rodgers out for Weeks and tons of players missing time or on IR. Chicago with a backup QB. We were rlatively healthy all year. At a minimum lets get two new coordinators. I could live with Swartz if that happens

2 tipped balls and 3 drops in 7 incompletions. Not wind, receivers messing up. The deep ball to Calvin may have been some wind.

The conditions were awful.I know, I was there..throw these stats out the window

Stafford did make plays in the second half. One good drive (that on 3rd and 5 should been PI then a fake FG taking 3 off the board (30 points now)). He made plays but had 2 drops in one drive down 30-27 before the force to Calvin. And down 10, he threw a bomb to Ogletree that was dropped that would have put us in Steeler territory for a miracle.

Batted ball is on the Oline

50% gets us wins. Stafford has made good throws. His receivers let him down.

No it doesn't. You're delusional. Good luck with life.

And with no drops or batted passes. He is 70/80%. That good enough for you Mitch.

I'm the only one who apparently watches the games. Drops are drops. Hate Stafford all you want, he's our QB for a long time.

The major flaw with Stafford is he just cant hit a WR in stride on deep balls. Show me one highlight were he hit one for a.TD more than 30 yds Downfield..Not a jump ball or an underthrown comeback..one in stride ala Manning to Harrison

Doesn't mean we all have to suck his dick and not ask for improvement.

The throw to Ogletree(Cincy game) and Durham (to essentially win the Cowboy game) were amazing, deep down the sidelines and in stride. The game winner to Calvin against Chicago was a pretty great throw too.

Bringing back Schwartz should be a simple matter of comparing our talent to our production. If anyone thinks we have more talent than production (either side of the ball), then we should fire Schwartz since it is his job to get the best out of our players. If you think this team is devoid of talent and lucky to win 7 games on paper, then you keep Schwartz because he is keeping us competitive.

I think defensively we have too much talent to be as bad as we are (17th in yards allowed, 18th in points allowed). We have an elite defensive line. We have at least two high quality LBs. We have two high priced safeties, and at least one decent CB. Our inability to stop the pass is an indictment of our coaching. But do you fire Schwartz, or do you fire Gunther?

I think offensively there's not much to call on the coaching. We are still 2nd overall in total yards, 6th in points. We don't have one of the best 5 QBs in the league, don't have one of the best 5 RBs in the league. We have had significant problems in our WR corps, and that's been reflected both in a league high drop percentage and several of Stafford's interceptions. We have good offensive talent, and we are a good offensive team. I'm not sure you fire Schwartz (or even Linehan) when the offense works well overall. Are the coaches responsible for fumbles and interceptions (and as we know several interceptions were due to our poor secondary WRs, one was completely Calvin's fault)?

I think based on the talent, Schwartz's input on the defense should make or break his career here. At the very least, we should be firing Gunther and looking for a replacement that understands the complexity of different looks to create pressure and creating turnovers. Penalties are still an issue, but since the O-line has settled it's been primarily the defense. We need better coaching of the defense. That is partly on Schwartz no matter what, he is the head coach. But if management isn't ready to bite the bullet with Schwartz yet, we absolutely need a new D-Coordinator.
