If we miss the playoffs

Nothing is on Stafford. Ever. He's perfect. And all you have is "I watched the game 8 times." I don't need too watch it more than once to see he's inaccurate.

I don't know why this all continues to center around Stafford, but I guess that's the nature of the NFL. It's all on the QB no matter what right?

Stafford is a good QB, but there is no question that he has played very poorly in our last few losses, and he had a large impact on the outcome. Stats can be twisted around, turned upside down, and manipulated in any which way to try and make one side of an argument look better. TURNOVERS TURNOVERS TURNOVERS have absolutely cost this team dearly, and will continue to do so unless they get it corrected. I put a large majority of the blame for the Tampa loss on Stafford where he was awful. I don't care if you throw for 400 yards and 3 TDS, if you give it all back with 5 ints then it really doesn't help you all that much.

I do not want Stafford gone or anything like that. I think he is a good QB who just has not played well enough for this team to be in as good a position as we should be. That's not just on him though, that's on the entire team and coaching staff. We should be thanking our lucky stars that both Cutler and Rodgers were hurt for extended periods of time because otherwise we are not even close to the playoffs at this point (wildcard teams are at 9-4). How loud would Lions fans be screaming then?

It's not on Staff alone. Other parts of the team stinks but Staff I s argued about because LKP doesn't think Staff played poorly. Hence the argument or dumb discussion.

I know, it wasn't directed at you or anybody else specifically. I was just saying in general that's the mentality of NFL fans is to just blame the QB.

Well our next two games are at home Mitch.. Our head coach has never won back to back
home games... Well we need it now.. I hope he can do it..

Sure. Imo Detroit plays well Monday but then tanks on Sunday.

You do need to watch it again. Your opinion would change.

And when did I ever say perfect. I said 6 and 10 incompletions were his fault in games.

Your misinformed opinion versus my game tape facts. Game tape wins.

I didn't need to see two missed TD opportunities against Pittsburgh by seeing it twice. I don't need to see his passes that fly over receivers more than once.

And I don't need to see receivers saving Staff's ass several times a game more than once.

Receivers don't save him. Thats in your warped little mind. And your selective memory is ignoring Stafford doing great the majority of the time. Hence 26.6 PPG with 27 TDs and 2 rushing.

You do realize with Stafford having 4% higher drop rate than other QBs, he would be at a nice 62%. You guys get so hung up on the % you don't look at the context.

you are not putting 2 and 2 together. If we continue to be one of the higher drop rate group of WRs in the league....year in and year out.....then it probably has something to do with who is throwing them the ball. Someone posted a highlight real of titus young the other day....I was cracking up at how on every play titus had to fly through the air and make a miraculous catch eventhough he was wide open. The drops are mainly coming from Stafford being so inaccurate.

Because that's all him, right?

Stafford has been great at times this year. He has been above average a lot of the time. He has been very average sometimes. He has been inconsistant a lot of the time. He has been terrible in the 4th quarter of the last 3 losses.

Look at his career stats. He is an above average starting QB and that's it.

Nope. Drops. Stafford has made game winning plays in the 4th.

So does all this mean Mayhew has done a poor job of getting quality receivers around Stafford?

less than 24% completions in the 4th....THAT IS A LOT OF DROPS!!!

Ill bite and take the road with less sarcasm:

That's a lot of bad passes
Dumb play calls
Poor footwork
Poor pocket presense
Bad reads
Poorly executed plays
Overthrows
Sidearm throws
Throws off your back foot while facing zero pressure
Rushing your throws
Not stepping up in the pocket
Not seeing the entire field
And last but not least...too many throws to durham.

Calvin and Bush have probems too. Bell and Burleson have a couple but not a trend. Durham only due to injuries by Young and Broyles.
