I was curious about this myself so I decided to look it up. It appears as though this is a true statement, although, he has won at home and then went on the road and came back and won at home again.

No that proves Stafford was GOOD the majority of the time as he had had 10 and 26 completions on top of those 9 and 10 incompletions that weren't his fault.

26/46 with only 10 his fault. 36/46=78% in Bucs games. Though 3 of the 10 were really big turnovers.
10/25 with only 6 his fault. 19/25=76% in Eagles game in a blizzard.

Yes that is what I am telling you. I rewatched both games last night charting that.

There were great catches in thos games. Fauria and Pettigrew TDS, but those throws were right on the money in both instances with tight coverage. Great catch doesn't mean bad throw. Could mean tight coverage.

Thats just drops bud. We could get into tips and great coverage reads with still the proper throw.

And note I said 76% and 78% in those 2 games that Stafford did well.

The problem is your memories (only remembering the minority bad stuff and not all the good stuff). My guess is you only watch the games once, and my guess is Stafford completing a pass on the money is so normal to you, that you just disregard those in your memories.


You can blame Stafford for the tips and drops all you want. I don't. He's a very good QB and we are lucky to have him.

It shows with PPG, 3rd down % and first downs accumulated. First downs are a volume stat because the Lions get so many of them. If we sucked at long drives, we'd have less first downs. Simple as that.
