Interesting Detroit Stats

stafford needs to work on the mistakes though LKP that's all mitch and the others are saying. Wilson doesn't make as many right now. and the reason y Wilson only has 300 attempts is because Marshan Lynch is a there and a way better runner then Reggie Bush is.

Bush has better YPC than Lynch. Bush still has 180 carries. Lions have same amount of rushing TDs as Seattle.

200 more passing attempts by Detroit but Seattle only has 70 more rushing attempts. The 10 additional turnovers forced sure helps Willson though.

Bush and Bell is 286 attempts at 4.5 YPC

Lynch and Turbin is 283 attempts at 4.1 YPC

Wilson makes their running game better.

80 Wilson attempts to 28 "attempts" by Stafford (broken plays, kneel downs, very few actual running attempt).

Are you taking into account how defenses approach both of these offenses?

Detroit has passed 61.24% of the time
Seattle has passed 46.63% of the time

Run first vs pass first

It's going to be more difficult to run when the opposing defense expects it.

I'm not claiming one team is better rushing than the other, but you have to at least take opposing defenses into account when assessing ypc.

Does anyone think there is a CB or S in this draft that could come in and legitimately fight for #1 status on our team? I don't think there are any Patrick Peterson's this year, with all the size and ridiculous athleticism, but there are a few that might be able to be Joe Haden.

HAHA looks slow but is physical he could play S, maybe he'll run a good 40. I like Dennard from MSU I think he's the best of the bunch. Have to look into that Oregon guy though, only seen a few games.

Wilson needs Seattles defense and Lynch. Wilson couldn't do what Stafford did in 2011. Wilson makes plays but isn't asked to carry a team. Plus Wilson only 13 drops. He has Staffords drop %, you would be complaining about Wilson having only 59% completion too.

Stafford can't help the secondary or the 10 of the 11 fumbles that occured this year. Even some of the picks weren't on him. I'd say 9 of the 14 on Stafford.

Stafford has Megatron. Wilson has WRs that are might be as good as Nate Buerlson.

No one is arguing that Wilson has a defense. That's the point, he doesn't need to throw 600 times. But when he does throw, he completes at a good rate and is smart with the football. That's what I want. Rely on the running game and the defense. Shit, look at what SF did will freakin' Alex Smith.

IS THAT TOO MUCH ASK FOR, WE'RE ENTITLED, DAMN IT!!!!!

And stafford faces teams geared to stop pass especially deep to Calvin. Wilson faces stacked boxes for run. Maybe you cut stafford some slack on the comp percentage with that mixed with the drops. 47 drops Lions. Only 13 for Wilson

Wilson May not throw for good rate with 200 more attempts. Weapons prone to drops and with more pressure to score points. Plus less short fields with less turnovers from his defense.

Wilson in Detroit I could see 56 57 percent completion

That wasn't the point I wanted to make. I suppose P. Manning would be less effective here. I just want to have an awesome defense and a QB who can play it safe yet get it done. I want more of an all-around team.

What does this have to do with Stafford?

And I would rather have the high point scoring boom or bust qb that can always move the ball. Defense could just as easily suck it up and screw the smart game manager as stafford having a bad game. And lions can run the ball. Rbs do it well with focus on stopping stafford to calvin

I'm not sure some of those drops aren't on Stafford. There's time when he just whizzes it in 6 yards away.

Each his own I guess.

9 of at affords picks intended for Calvin. It can hinder the pass sometimes forcing but the good far outweighs the bad forcing to Calvin. 27 ppg for lions right there with Seattle
