Interesting Detroit Stats

Trade Stafford for Alex Smith and we will see just how terrible this team would be with a game manager type qb. Stafford fits what we need in a qb, a guy with a huge arm that is fearless. He's that guy, and honestly the only one of his kind in the league right now.

How about you trade for Wilson instead. He's a better example. My example was never meant to not wanting Stafford or that any "field general" type will work.

Seattle has a much better team overall but the point being made you don't need a huge "fearless arm" to win. I was high on Stafford as much as anyone even early in the year. The pros people keeping bringing up is arm, yards, and the "best QB we've ever had". Sorry but that shouldn't cut it in anyone.

Now there's a lot more than QB that makes us an inconsistent bunch but lately he's the head of the line.

Kevin Smith was Millen. Know your history.

.

I know my history....I was showing that mayhew who was under millen drafted kevin smith, best and leshoure. All of them without having a lick of an oline. thank god xanders came to fix everything this year.

Xanders didn't have final say. All Mayhew buddy. Xanders fixed the scouting system.

Hughes go watch the end of the Dallas game and the throws Stafford makes on the winning drive. He is probably the only guy in the game that makes that throw to Durham and one of the few who can make the last pass to calvin. To talk shit about that kids talents is worthless. He has thrown some bad passes the last few weeks but its sometimes judgement and not accuracy issues. Also he has had some bad bounces whether you wan to acknowledge it or not.

its not bouncing 10 yards over a 6'5'' WRs head....its being airmailed lol. Argue all you want but the kid isn't very accurate....does he have a cannon....ofcourse he does.....but he doesn't make very accurate throws.

Yards, first downs, points scored, 3rd down efficiency. No big deal.

Yards? When you lead the league in passes I hope so. First downs, yeah that's all Stafford. Not the guys who get 3-4 passes and run for 20 afterward. Points scored, how about you minus the ones he's given up. 3rd down efficiency, how many don't lead to scores? With his rate we should be scoring more.

I'm okay with talking about his accolades, the things he does well. He has skill. But we should also talk about the mistakes. He makes quite a few.

Not all 3-4 yard passes. He can hit the intermediate and long ones too. He has plenty of those plays. 75 of his completions to be exact. Plus many time the short throw is the CORRECT read on the play.

I mentioned more than yards Mitch. Discuss the 27 TDs(2nd in league) (plus 2 rushing). 3rd down 45.3% for 4th best in league, 27 PPG (4th in league). Why do you avoid talking about that Mitch? Oh because it ruins your argument. That's why.

Staffords great plays far far far outnumber his mistakes.

I was looking at some of his intermediate to long passing stats and some of the stats were interesting.

His completion percentage is only 45% on passes over 11 yards
He is 9 for 34 (26.5%) on passes thrown 21-30 yards and he has 3 INTs

Peyton Manning only 56% 11 yards or more. Peyton Manning only 35% 21-30 yards.

Plus there are some drops in there too for Stafford.

Rodgers 58% and 44% in those categories.

Manning: 77.6% with 28 TDs and no INTs inside the redzone.
Stafford: 47.8% with 19 TDs and 1 INT inside the redzone.

Stafford must have a SHITLOAD of drops inside the redzone!

See jump balls to Calvin and Fauria doesn't always work. But you try and try again and get 19 TDS still.

best was a 1st....we were coming off a year where we averaged 0 yards over center and 0 yards to the right....and we use a 1st on a guy with a history of bad concussions....genious.

kevin smith 3rd

leCrap 2nd

plus the trade up for best pick

and the trade up for leshoure pick where we lost value.

titus 2nd

broyles 2nd on a slot with 3 WRs infront of him

There was the first we used on Best, then the second we used on Best, then the 30th pick we used on Best, and to top it off he used the 34th pick on Best.

Yeah, doh. Those difference in % is a lot. For example, Rodgers at 44% 21-30 compared to 26.5% by Staff. That's a ton dude.

Not many throws so a few incompletions skew the percentage. They take their shots to Calvin and fauria. Lions have good red zone scoring. Best in the league actually. 19 tds sounds good to me in 12 games at 27 ppg. You act like we can't score. We are the best at it

27 ppg. Shut up about the redzone. Stafford does well there. 27 tds 2nd in league
