Internet Censorship.

I wonder if he came up with 'woke parallel government'. It's a pretty great phrase. Should scare the crap out of/enrage some people

After all this time protecting the sanctity of corporate speech when it appeared in the form of campaign contributions, apparently corporations are now a 'woke parallel government'

https://www.politico.com/news/2021/04/05/mcconnell-corporate-america-woke-parallel-government-479042

they love corporations when they're on their side.

just like they had no problems with "the deep state" whatsoever from 2001 to 2009, and if you complained about anything we were doing, you were a terrorist luver, and a gay Frenchman.

despite complaining publicly, they still never do anything to oppose corporate interests or the deep state though...

The woke parallel government aligned with the deep state...I don't know, seems worthy of marching and occupying corporate headquarters (you know, if I bought into any of that, which I don't.)

Michigan's Lake Superior State University to offer "cannabis chemistry scholarship" for students to study in its cannibus chemistry program, which opened in 2019 (link). I missed that in 2019.

Cue "Liberals want you to study POT, but not real science111" rants from people who also did not study real science...

Chemistry? I guess there's a lot to study from a medical perspective, but I'm not sure...well, before I say something stupid, organic chemistry is hard and I've never understood it and sure, why not.

during orientation, I placed into Orgo 215. And I guess I scored so high on whatever university placement exam I took, my advisor told me I couldn't take Chem 115 or whatever the intro chem course was.

I was definitely not ready for a class like Orgo my first semester of college, when I was rushing a frat and generally behaving like a jackass.

I didn't fail it, but I did really bad. I was weeded out of pre-med by the weeder-out course.

I did well in the lab, but that was because I had a partner that knew how to do things I didn't even know were possible. I remember he set up a magnetic stirrer for one project, and it blew my mind...

... I didn't even know humanity had invented such a thing, let alone know how to use it in a chemistry lab.

From the Desk of Donald J. Trump

Now, I don?t expect to be spending a lot of time on this site myself, but for anyone who misses the tweets and the insanity - here ya go - Trump has his own platform, and got it the same way Alex Jones and Pinterest got their own - by doing it themselves, just like I?ve been saying.

So enjoy, if you are so inclined.

I hope, for his and his readers' sake, he was smart enough not to host it on Amazon Web Services...

Since the web hosting decision was likely not a thin skinned response to a perceived criticism, I would guess no, he likely did not select that course of action.

why?

amazon is a big successful corporation. you love them.

they make prudent investment decisions and a lot of money, which is what really matters, nothing else. Right?

good strawman - probably not quite as good as the two or three you posted on the Coronainsanity thread today, but still pretty good. You have a knack for making up bullshit on the fly - you should think about giving up on your career as a middling corporate law attorney and becoming an ambulance chasing personal injury lawyer. You have the scruples for it, and based on your affection for socialism, you clearly have no problem being a leech on society.

Anyway, to answer your question, I said that because of what they did to Parler - they could end up doing the same thing to him.

There?s a few.

Bing was developed by and is owned by Microsoft.

It was a few years ago but I kinda remember the government blocked/forbade a web browser being bundled with the rollout of the next version of windows (at that time) for anti-trust reasons.

Poor Bill Gates.

Oh well.

Nobody seems to know what happened to Tank Man.

He probably ended up being used as part of some experiment in Wuhan.
