IT'S ON!!!......For the Championship

Yep, right there

I wouldn't expect him to change the entire gameplan. Then I mentioned how he threw in a few new looks against Nebraska and Maryland aka a few minor tweaks. Then I went on to say what I wouldn't expect to see. Of course, that is just my opinion. JB could surprise us all and do this stuff. JB is usually pretty conservative, though and doesn't go wild like that.

Isn't reading wonderful?

We're going to run a full court 1-3-1 trap and run the offense out of the post. Definitely going to happen.

One of the players will often hedge out (i think that is the term they are using) on the pg or other guard and it seems like they are doubling that player for a quick moment. Most opponents have not caught Michigan while they were doing this. They have been doing it pretty much all season. Every now and then, the one player that is hedging will get caught spending too much time out there and there will be a pass down to his man in the paint. Unfortunately, this happened quite a bit against MSU. I imagine that Izzo saw this tendency and exploited it.

This is totally what happened, except our "hedging" turned into all out leaving our man and guys following Winston around in circles. When it is done right, the guys are able to get back and put a hand in the face before the shot. When done wrong, guy gets shot off, with comfort, before we ever arrive.

When I look at it through a different lense, it may have been purposeful in that playing percentages does work. JB probably played the percentages knowing full well State is very turnover prone. The thing is is that the guys played too loosey goosey when "hedging". Like I said before in this thread, all Winston had to do was throw the ball blindly in the air and there was ALWAYS a guy wide open waiting for a pass, whether under the basket or open for 3.

So I guess in other words the shit that worked in the first game, keep doing more of that shit, And the shit that didn’t go so good, either don’t do that shit, or instead of doing it the way it’s not supposed to be done, do it the way it supposed to be done instead.

Is that pretty much it?

I will go out on a limb and say that the team who scores more points will win the game.

Excuse me sir, but basketball is obviously played with the same rules as golf. Lowest score wins.

Can't believe how little attention you have been paying. You're better than this.

Lol ...I?m paraphrasing Bill Walton during an NBA pregame show once ....both teams were high scoring/no defense and he said something like that ..

But ...he was right!! :lmao:

Walton was also high.....scoring

I met him in San Diego at a conference ...he lives there and was signing autographs. It must?ve been a solid 5-7 mins for him to sign a mini ball for my son when I told him I was a DeadHead. He lit up and went on about cherishing my son and all. Nice enough guy.

I always figured he would be a nice dude in person.

Honestly, he used to crack me up during some NBA games. When it was a really bad game, he would just basically quit announcing for a short bit and only say "awful" after every ugly play.

The reason Bill Walton was such a turd, being the color guy during a game, was that he always interjected his superiority of past dominance into it. It was always, good lord, here we go again! And this was the days of Jordan, Bird, Magic, O'Neal, Olajuwon, Wilkins, Malone, etc..... It was like, Dude, you need to shut the **** up, because these guys would have handed you your lunch and your knees would have broke earlier than they eventually did.

Yep. He annoyed me when he did that, but he gave me some good laughs outside of that stuff.

I would love him back, but I would love him back, more, at 100% for the tournament.

I do agree here. like Johnny Miller covering the PGA for NBC ...always like, "when I was 3 back at Shinnicock in 1981..."
