IT'S ON!!!......For the Championship

Criticism of Rich Rod and Hoke was legit. They sucked.

Criticism of Ellerbe and Amaker was legit. They sucked

JB is nothing like them. He's awesome.

Offended is pushing it. Irritated by it would be more accurate. People saying it once or twice wouldn't be an issue, but as I said, they've been posting it nonstop for 4 months. It pollutes every single basketball thread. Shit is old.
I know JB is awesome. He's the best coach in America.

People will always have their preference of play style and I assume that's where 99% of the minimal criticism comes from.

It is what it is.

I used to play some CMU players at the rec sometimes. Fun stuff, but we were just messing around. They had me trying to go against some 6' 10" 250 pound dude. Was extremely difficult.
Never played any cmu guys. Got Chris Thomas to bring ND guys to BSU over one summer for some scrimmages. It was friendly, but no messing around.

I even talked some basketball in this thread, but no one really responded. I think thery just want to bitch and moan.

Now that everyone has calmed a little, I'd like to suggest to John Beilein to go a little Bo Ryan on Saturday. I'd like to slow things down and be methodical and boring.

I've changed my mind. I want him to be more like Tom Jizzo and get in players faces after they **** up. I want everyone held accountable, even the team manager.

Will JB also be required to look like an actual wolverine the way Ryan looked like a badger?

He needs to comb the sides of his hair in an upward swooping motion. Hairspray and a blow dryer. He'd look ****ing sweet and ready to coach.

Yes, They are just opinions after all and as long as you are OK with me telling you that it is my opinion that your opinion is invalid, then it's all good.

Now I know that you don't like the auto-bench philosophy. You've told us this over and over for about 4 months now in almost every thread involving basketball.

I did mention that there was one game, must've been the @Iowa game where it "might" have been an issue, so that is 1 game out of 30 that it MIGHT have been an issue. Yet, this subject has come up in every single basketball thread for 4 months now. It's old!!

I have some really nice rocks out front as part of my landscaping. They are pretty and in the summer months they really accentuate my yard with the trees, flowers, and ornaments that we have out there. Now 4 months ago, I decided that these rocks should be made out of gold and I've gone outside every day for the last 4 months and wished really hard that they would change to gold. They'd be so much prettier and I could retire from my job. They aren't changing to gold, though. I'm so disappointed in these stupid rocks. Now imagine that we are all part of a landscaping message board and I get on this message board and talk about how my rocks should change to gold. I've been posting about it every day for the last 4 months. You're pretty tired of the subject now, especially because it is crazy for me to think that the rocks are actually going to change. You tell me that the rocks aren't going to change and I respond madly, "Well, it is my opinion that they should. Aren't I entitled to my opinion?"

I just think it's nuts. If you all want to be nuts, go for it. I'm just going to point out every now and then that I think you're all nuts.

I've been pretty quiet on the issue since the PSU game, but I finally couldn't stand it again yesterday, so I voiced my opinion. Guess I should only do that if I agree with certain people. Wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

You obviously have some issue with me, because most of this post is utter nonsense. No I have not mentioned the auto-bench thing in every single basketball thread for 4 months now. I haven't said one word about it since the Iowa game, which is when it actually was an issue and even you yourself admitted it "might" have been. I bring things up when they are relevant. You are the one who brought it up here. I also said it's not a big deal. Then you write a book about how I think it's a really big deal and I just hate JB over this whole thing, when I just got done telling you I wouldn't trade him for any other coach in the country.

Opinions are not invalid when they have logical reasoning behind them and support. There are plenty of other great successful coaches out there (some more successful than JB), who DO NOT subscribe to the auto-bench philosophy. Are their opinions invalid? Are they nuts as you call it? Obviously not. Both philosophies can be successful. Just depends which side of the fence you fall on.

I don't like the auto-bench. So what? You're being a huge hypocrite calling us all sensitive and butt-hurt, when you can't stand it when there's an ounce of discussion that can even slightly be construed as criticism of the coaches. This automatically gets labeled as "bitching and moaning". And I will again state one more time, that I am NOT criticizing John Beilein at all.

Regarding the use of the contraction “‘s” - the use of that contraction is substantially more common and appropriate when used within the context of being coupled with a short subject pronoun; i.e. “he’s;” “she’s;” “it’s,” et al, and so on and so forth, as opposed to the way it’s being utilized in the gif.

“This conversation is” would have been much more recognizable and agreeable in the context of its linguistic and melodic “flow,” as it were, and so to speak, than in the way that it’s being presented, once again, in the gif.

I didn't make the gif and can't edit it. It's just out there on dem internets.

It's also correct in context anyway. That character on Letterkenny ends a ton of words he shouldn't with an s. So when he says that line he says "conversation's".

Yeah, and in the postgame interview he can say how much he hates coaching, how much he hates his players, give the opposing team no credit whatsoever, and yell at some reporters. Then he can blame injuries and the refs for every time that something doesn't go his way. Then he can throw in there that his players are tired even though they just had a week off.

Then run across the court, grab a ref, and drag him back to his bench area, even though the ref was obviously right about the call that he just made.

If a player picks up a 3rd foul at 18:30 left in the 2nd half, I'd expect every coach in America to sit him down

Most games I watch, If a player picks up a 2nd foul in the first half, they bench the guy until halftime. They MIGHT bring him back for the last minute or 2.

Rarely do I see coaches go against that grain.

I thought I said that someone brings up it. Someone might not mean you.

gifs typically contain poor grammar and/or spelling. I don't know why, but it seems part of the deal.

Sorry for yelling at some of you. I'll try to be better.

It's no excuse, but as Izzo says, I've been tired and i had eaten some pacski that day and was wired from all of the sugar. Plus, I'm almost 50. I'm getting grouchy.

In the future, I'll try to just ignore things I don't like or try to express my opinion better without trying to sound like I'm telling people that they have no right to post what they post, even if I have read it 1,000 times from various posters over the last 4 months and the team is really, really good.
