His mid pound picks have done nothing. Its not rocket science. Some of you say its too early, how long are we suppose to wait? If they have done nothing in two years, why should I have a woody that they will suddenly turn it around? And I shouldn't just say mid rounders but anything after the 1st..some success but bad luck, maybe but for the most part he's drafted bad.

I have no doubt Reiff could be a good tackle which makes 2012 suck because he didn't play T except for one game. You draft a guy in the first round, a team who was winning 4 games, be a glorified FB. That fault I suspect goes on Schwartz. You know what good teams do? They put the newly drafted 1st rounder in and sit the vet "because they weren't going anywhere". Not play the 36 year old over a 21 year old.

at the least he should have played over Gosder. Especially since we made no effort to resign him at any point. If gosder wasnt ever going to be in the plans then why not give the kid some game experience. Was a dumb move no doubt.

Gosder played really well. No reason to bench him and he could have been in the plans but they found in March Gosder's new high demands. Plus they thought there was value in 250 snaps of having a 3rd tackle. Only Reiff could have been the 3rd tackle due to his atheleticism.

tony...we were 4-12 and our first rd LT was playing fullback lol. Theres absolutely no reason why they shouldnt have played him over cherilus. Mayhew made no effort in resigning him....ur saying when youre 4-10 you cant give your 1st round pick a shot? Again this is to me is just dumb mayhew bullshit. So his plan was to pick reiff in rd 1 and sit him and pick broyles in rd 2 and sit him????? who the fuck did he think we were????? Some perrenial super bowl team with tons of depth that can just sit all of our picks? Its just plain dumb lol....

As for Broyles, its been explained so much to you that i feel like vomiting....lol. The kid is a gamer, he showed flashes and should be a mainstay for years to come.....barring any injuries.

Now we have two YOUNG players who will be a huge part of this team going forward. Mayhew was thinking future and that future was only 1 season apart. You make it sound like these guys were drafted 3-4 years ago. If that was the case, i would be freaking out just like you. Your bashing on Mayhew for last years draft is unjust....give it time before you cast stones.

I'll say this much.. I somehow expect Jason Fox to be our starting RG this season. Not sure why, just a gut feeling.

And with a gut the size of mine, you should pay a lot of attention to my gut hunches.

I can't even believe some of you guys would question Martin Mayhew's drafts after he had the amazing forsight and vision to draft TIM FUCKING TOONE!

Thomas is still on the roster which guarantees 1 mil of his 1.45mil cap number this year. And i was wrong...he had 5 catches last year. Your point would be valid except that DUrham came in much later than him and took his job. Aka...we pissed away a 5th round pick. A good GM doesnt keep pissing away 4th and 5th round picks and getting nothing in return. Most GMs see more value in those picks than that and if youre going to use them in trades get much much more than guys that produce the likes of whitehead and thomas.
